Wonderful in my Old Fashioned.

Great cherry flavor that reminds me of what you’d taste in a classic cherry coke. I prefer these bitters over other brands for their flavor and price.

Whisky and cherries go together like lamb and tuna fish. Wait.. let's try that again.. Whisky and cherries go together like whisky and cherries. There we go. Much better! These bitters make the absolute best Cherry Old Fashioned. If you've had other bitters by Fee Brothers then you know what to expect with their specific flavors, and this is no exception. I like my Cherry Old Fashioneds finished off with a bourbon cherry and cherry wood smoke for that cherry redundancy. Granted, cherry smoke doesn't taste at all like cherry, but it's still fun. I love these bitters with both bourbon and rye whiskies. With bourbon I do half an ounce of rich simple syrup and with rye I do 3/4 ounce since it's a bit spicier than bourbon. Both receive 4 dashes of cherry bitters. I'm also a huge fan of their orange bitters, but that'll be for a different review.

I like Fee Brothers Orange Bitters, so I decided to try this one too. Good addition to an Old Fasioned. Although the first time I used it, I found it to be very strong and a little over-powering in my drink. So just need to cut back a little (i.e. one shake vs. two...)

Priorities with black cherries. Makes a great black cherry old-fashioned.
