Worked for my needs
Flow rate and pumping capacity are going to be a function of the fluid you pump. Gasoline is easy to pump, while motor oil is going to require a lot of hand/arm strength to pump. Fortunately, my needs are entirely gasoline. I keep four, 5 gallon gas cans for emergency. Even though I use a stabilizer in the cans, I do not go more than a year before I transfer the gasoline to my truck and then refill the cans. With the awkward angle of the truck's filler and having to handle the weight of the can, it can get tricky. One day a light went off in my brain and I got this pump. Now I put the can next to my truck and the hose into the filler neck, and in a few minutes the transfer is complete. The shark-bite type connectors do not leak. The unit is inexpensive, but does not feel cheap. It functions as expected. It also comes in handy for my home generator. It has an 8 gallon tank and that needs to rotate out annually as well. So much easier to pump it out to an empty can than to disconnect the fuel line. The time and grief this is saving me is worth every penny I paid for it.

Great little pump
The SMART JERRY siphon pump works great for quick and easy fuel transfers. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and moves gas or other fluids efficiently without any mess. The hose length is just right, and the pump starts the flow fast with minimal effort. It feels durable and reliable for regular use. Definitely a handy tool to keep in the garage or truck.

Works well, not perfect
The pump works well. It sprays out a little where the plunger handle goes into the top cap. Otherwise great product!

Amazing little hand pump!!
Tremendous little hand pump! I'm not one to write a review but this pump exceeded my expectations. I have an sunken water basin that collects about a half gallon of water that needs to be drained daily. This pump effectively removes the water from the basin in a matter of a couple minutes. It's small enough that I can leave it in place outdoors and use it whenever it's convenient without being an eyesore. It's not designed to pump large quantities of fluids but its very efficient for smaller jobs. Although I have not used it to pump air into a ball that needs inflating but it appears that it would perform this type of task very effectively.

The plastic hoses came stubbornly coiled & hard to get to bottom of gas tank
I think that very easily this rating could be upgraded to 5 stars, but the big problem I found was with the clear plastic hoses, which come subbornly coiled. In the process of replacing my in-tank fuel pump, I wanted to pump/siphon gasoline out through the top hole in my motorhome gas tank where the in-tank fuel pump sits. Now if you want to siphon out gasoline from such a gas tank, you find the supplied the plastic hose viciously coiled, so it is practically impossible (or very difficult) to get the hose to the bottom of the gas tank (in a non-visible internal view) gas tank. So you put the hose in the tank & try to get to bottom of tank, but it coils up so intake is not at the bottom of tank. Likewise the output tube is viciously & stubbornly coiled. I tried to siphon out gasoline from my motorhome gas tank, accessed like through a trap door in the floor, & then fed outside through holes visible in the in-tank fuel pump compartment. But the tube would not feed through the holes to outside because of the stubborn coiling of the tube. I finally got a smooth stick & stuck it in the end of the hose. & then like a needle I put the stick through the gap hole(s) & out to outside, then went out & pulled the hose out. The gasoline was to be pumped/siphoned into a steel 5 gallon tank. But there again, the stiff coiling of the hose may make a problem to getting the hose near bottom of 5 gallon tank. (The hose in the 5 gallon recepticle tank should be lower than the bottom of the motorhome gas tank). Go back to drawing board. Provide stiff straight attachable tubes for both input & output hoses, so the hose ends can have about a 3 foot straight tube ending, so bottoms of tanks can be reached without coiling. I plan now to put a steel rod through the hoses & then heat the hoses (maybe with hair dryer) to get the coiling out. And I may get an aluminum pipe with a little more diameter than the hoses & run the hoses through each pipe to make them straight & reach bottom of tanks. The aluminum pipe going into the motorhome tank should be long enough so that they stick up out of the tank a little & don't get lost in the gas tank! So solve this problem by providing 2 stiff attachable straight 3 foot end tubes which may be attached to the end of the hoses. UPDATE, Oct 21. The hair dryer did not heat the hoses enough to get them completely straight, but helped somewhat. Perhaps boiling water would have straighted them out. Of course one must be careful not to use too much heat around gasoline. I found a copper pipe & fed the intake hose through that pipe & then inserted the hose sticking out about a inch having the pipe around it. This enabled me to get it to the bottom of the fuel tank. The fuel came out with a lot of rust in it, but that is another story. Moral of that story is that you are in danger of a rusty fuel tank if you let gasoline sit in it for years without burning off the gasoline by running the engine & replacing the gasoline. Especially gasohol (gasoline with ethanol in it) breaks down over time into alcohol mixed with water from the air and gasoline (2 layers) & then that water will attack a the steel tank. Only leave real, pure gasoline in a long-idle tank. Adding Pri-G to that gasoline is also recommended to stablize the gasoline. But study this problem before you long-store gasoline.

Doesn’t work well for pumping water
Purchased because it was small. But doesn’t pump water well. Seems to push same water it sucks up back out the same way.

Well made
Was prefect for removing transmission fluid via the dipstick on a RAM Gen 4 with 6 speed transmission. Pump looka well made. Less than one hour to complete. Easy to use.

Bought to change rear differential fluid in my Honda Ridgeline. Great quality and worked very well . You get lots of hose included which I trimmed to the length I needed . You can't really clean it so if you purchase one plan on using it for one purpose but multiple times

Super easy to use for transmission oil change reason for the 4 starts is if the oil is to hot it can melt the plastic of the pump so need little cool down before draining everything

So far worked well.
