Ideal for turning off an outside water tap in winter.
A well made isolator for plumbing uses like for diverting cold water for a garden tap and being able to turn it off for winter.

Full Bore for a full flow!
Used these Tee’d isolation valves for installing a new radiator in the conservatory. Works flawlessly. Compression fittings sealed first time on 40 year old copper and full bore capacity on the valve leg allows hot water to rapidly heat the radiator. More expensive than the inline isolation valve but the unrestricted flow is what’s important for a radiator system. Recommend.

Plastic on/off handle poor quality
Bought to allow isolation of outside garden hose tap. Husband reckons poor quality plastic handle was turning/spinning on the valve spindle. Fitted by a guy during a kitchen upgrade whilst we had the main water pipe turned off. When upgrade complete and water turned back on, this valve would not operate to turn on the water to the outside tap. Husband had an awkward time fixing this issue due to difficult/poor access to said valve. He says the error was in not "exercising" the ball valve action prior to fitting in line. Plastic handle turning but not operating the ball valve. He ended up taking the plastic handle off and using a small spanner to operate the valve spindle itself. Top tip is to make VERY sure valve operates correctly before fitting !
