Good replament for old lights that gave the ghost

this is the third pair of these I have ordered, and all of them are still working, some going on 5 years.. bright enough to show the area outside a door or window.. or a deck.. make walking safer, and alert you to unwelcome pests/people outside/nearby.... lightweight and can take a tumble!

So I have a mixed review of these lights.Pros:There are 4 in a package for a decent price.The light output is surprisingly great, 1 light lights up my front yard ( 24ft x 45 ft) . The 1 light on my shed lights up most of my back yard (45 ft x 45+ ft).The light is bright and crisp but is not so bad that they cant be used to light up an outdoor entertainment area.Super easy to install. 2 screws and paper clip and they're readyCons:There is no adjustment for the amount of time the light stays on, I would say maybe 20-30 seconds before it turns off if not sooner and had to be motion activated again instead of continuously cycling (I get it theyre solar amd can only do so much) I would like to see an adjustment knob or something to that effect to extend to 1 - 2 minutesThe motion sensor needs a sensitivity adjustment its horrible. They dont light up until youre about 10 ft away waving your hands around. 20-30ft outer range would be preferable, As a motion light I would like to have the sensitivity much higherThey stop working FRESH OUT OF THE BOX! This is the one that kills it for me. After having the light out back , I pulled the 3rd and 4th out of the box and put it on the front of the house and 1 works great but the other is already dead, never even made it thru 2 days of use. It was dim for a night so I figured the battery needed charging and nights 2 and 3 it never came back on.Overall:Honestly for the light output these have they should be capable of more. With the lack of time adjustment for the light to stay on, and the low sensitivity for the motion sensors, I wouldn't promote these as anything more than to light your way to dump the garbage or walk to your car if its close. I couldn't promote these and any sort of security light

I'm a repeat buyer. The units works great on my deck and walkways. Lots of dependable light on demand.

These work fine in two regards but fail miserably in a third.They're bright. Nobody can argue about that. They light the whole area right up.They're sensitive enough to detect cats walking around in the caryard at all hours of the night.But... they don't stay lit.Oho, ONE of them actually remains on for maybe thirty seconds. The other three? They only remain on for one or two seconds before turning right off again.ONE or TWO seconds.So when I walk around out in the caryard at night, it looks like we have strobe lights going at a party, what with the lights popping on and off the whole time. DAYTIME... nighttime. Like the bird meme. It's enough to make a grown man crazy.I... because I have a whole lot of background in electronics... have faith that when I peel these three short-duration ones back down off the barn wall and put them on my bench, I can MAKE them stay on for the thirty seconds they're advertised for. Most people can't do that, though, and shouldn't be asked to. Most people will just feel outraged, after they pay someone to climb the ladder and install these things only to discover that they bought an ad-hoc party ball... and return them for their rightful refund. Me, I'm keeping them because___I___can___fix___them. It's pretty ridiculous, though, that they shipped with a 75% failure rate. I'll advise most people, who don't have much history in electronics, not to buy these.UPDATE: six months later, the two lights that remained on the longest have begun turning on only dimly, while the two that remain on for only a few seconds still light up at full brightness. Deducting another star because none of these lights now do what it's expected to do.
