Perfect fit on the CRKT Ruger tomahawk. Looks great, fits great

I got this for my CKRT Woods Chogan. I was hesitant to purchase this at first due to other reviews saying they had issues with the stitching coming undone or being cut. I searched for after market sheaths that would fit and didn't find any, and also considered making my own but after i used it while camping/bush crafting I found it to work well. I didn't have any issue with the thread like others did. I was curious so I tested it out for a while and I think the problem lies with the way it is used. When you place it onto the blade do not just shove the blade into it. It does have a thin welt which is designed to protect the stitching and give some space for the axe blade to set properly in this sheath. Make sure you line it up with the welt when using it for the first time as the blade may end up under or over the welt if pressed in too far which could damage the stitching and the Sheath will form to the blade over time. The snap did loosen up over several uses making it easier to snap/unsnap, and it did stay securely closed. I do wish that CRKT did have a thicker welt in it though. I will post an update over time after much more usage. I decided on this sheath instead of the one designed for belt carry because I'd rather carry it in my pack and instead of keeping it on my belt when bush crafting I'd just stick it into a piece of wood next to where I'm working with it. The worst things that could happen is the stitching breaking but I would use this as a template to make a new one with a thicker welt and recess the stitching to prevent the outer stitching from being worn through, As to the snap, it is easy to replace if ever damaged or too loose. I used it for a week camping in the wilderness without any issues. Soon I will treat the Sheath to water proof it as I am in a Marine Climate. I'd like to see a Kydex Sheath available for this to prevent blade rust. I am happy with it so far.

Appears to be a good quality sheath. Fits the Chogan snug. The stitch is back stitched two stitches at the beginning and end. Feels like it will last. Pricey for what it is. Would prefer the CRKT logo be embossed on the inside of the sheath for that plain look.

I finally found a hatchet and it was missing its sheath. Thank you amazon seller. Its now hunted 5 states and been on the pack every time.

This is the 3rd sheath I have purchased. One for my hawk and both of my college age kids when I presented them theirs. The darkness on mine (pictured) is from saddle soap and mink oil used to protect the leather, and the blade from rust while it's being carried on my ruck. The leather is stiff at first, works in very well with saddle soap. The snap will loosen over time with high use. I've used mine for 3 years and still have not felt the need to replace it. Doc Wil

Anhand der Produktbilder und des Preises hatte ich zumindest echtes Leder erwartet. Gewicht und Textur entsprechen allerdings biligstem China Pressleder. Das Material ist innen hart und spröde, einfache Naht, schlecht vernäht. Als Formvorlage brauchbar, wenn das Ding auseinander fällt habe ich wenigstens eine Schnittschablone...

Stiff leather, nice finish on surface, good stitching, solid snap. Fits my modified Chogan beautifully, I soaked every surface area in mink oil and snapped it onto my hawk, applied more mink oil later on and left it, now it's formed and the fold is set. Well made, and for shipped to my door in two days it was worth the price. Glad I purchased

Nice leather and constructed well. Be sure to condition the leather with Obenauf's or some other good leather conditioner.

I bought this planning to modify it to fit my CRKT Roush Pack Axe but to my surprise it fits great. Good quality leatherwork and stitching all around. Very happy with it.
