Amazing value. Packed so well and so healthy.
Holy cow the care that went into this plant for only $35 shipped is insane. I love plants and have tons from many orchid species, tons of aquatic plants, tons of moss species, millions of carnivorous plants, and your more common houseplants (pothos, ferns, philodendron, oak leaf figs, etc). I aquascape, build terrariums, paladariums, wabi kusa, kokedama, terra bases. I do it all. I naturally am not a stranger to buying plants online. We’re talking a few orders a month. This bonsai came packed with such care. I’ve never seen a plant packed so well. I really wish I took a photo of it. For $35 shipped the thing came packed like it cost $75+. They obviously care very much about thier plants and customers. The bonsai itself is in impeccable condition, I mean perfect. It’s tied down to the pot with very thick wire that’s only visible if you look under the drain holes. The medium seems to be a great general bonsai mix with slow release fertilizer in it, although ficus isnt really picky about grow media it’s still nice to see a high quality bonsai mix. The pot is very high quality thick glazed ceramic and must cost $15 alone. Very beautiful. It came with the plastic tray and pea gravel too. That was a nice surprise as I thought that was just for photos. It adds a nice touch, can catch run off, and help a bit with humidity. It just looks so great and really completes everything. The tree has been trained to what appears to be a moyogi style and is just lovely. It’s young so you can still have a lot of freedom to train it, but it looks so nice out of the box. I bought this plant to pull it and plant in a kokedama ball, but it’s just too cute. I’m going to take one of my dwarf umbrella trees and bonsai that in a kokedama and keeping this guy as is until it needs repotting then I’ll revisit the idea, but it would honestly be a disservice to do that now. The plant is also in impeccable health. Very very healthy with nice dark glossy leaves and many active growing tips. Excellent bonsai from an excellent seller. Mine will be going right under a onf flat nano + to complete the look. The high end light with base stand will bring this display to 11! I also seeded my soil with some drought tolerant moss and once it grows in will look like a tree on a grassy hill. I hope to get some aerial roots on this guy! Buy it, get the smallest one for $35. Super well packed, excellent health, excellent pot and media. Can’t beat this.

Breath taking, joy inducing
LOVE!!! Hands down, incredibly impressed. This bonsai blew me and my family away. Gorgeous shape, healthy, beautiful, no regrets. Was it a crazy mess of packing peanuts upon unpacking? Yes, but it’s worth it. This tree did not lose a leaf in traveling and had maybe 3 small yellow leaves. She is doing great and brings me joy every time I look at her.

Failed miserably.. Was: So far so good...
I watched the tracking like a hawk - with single digit temperatures I wanted to make sure the tree didn't have to endure anything too crazy. When it arrived I slowly brought it up to temperature by storing it on the cooler porch, then brought it into the house. The box was a lot bigger than I thought. I opened it up and found lots of packing peanuts. I scooped out a layer and found the tree. Reached down to lift the whole pot but it was taped securely to the bottom of the box. Once I realized it was wrapped up and I could invert it without anything shifting or soil getting rustled around I inverted the box and disposed of the peanuts. With the pot in plain view a few cuts and I had the tree free. The trunk is in great condition, there were already a few training wires on the lower branches. Lots of darker, healthy looking leaves. The soil was moist and the pot very nice. I had already ordered a humidity drip tray, filled that up and then placed my new tree in the middle. The soil was still cool, in the interest of still trying to allow it to warm up gradually I placed the tree close to my north facing picture window. We're on day three. Some leaves are curling and I've given it some high humidity baths (cool mist humidifier).. The description says it could drop 20%. We'll see. Day 20. About five days in all leaves curled up and turned brown. I've continued misting and watering on schedule. Green buds that were on the branches looked promising but turned brown as well around day 12. I continue to keep the soil moist and mist. I have e-mailed Brussels Nursery for help. Day 25. Branches seem to feel 'dead', leaves are all dead and starting to fall off naturally. I have not received any word back from Brussel's so I've initiated a return of the product. I'll keep the tree for a week or two before I send it back in hopes for a miracle. NOTE: The Brussel's website states that trees should NOT be delivered in cold or hot temperatures. My tree arrived on the day we were in the 'Polar Vortex' and temperatures in the single digits. The Amazon page does not list this. So ship in COLD or HOT at your own risk. I have to assume that's what killed my tree. I followed the instructions perfectly.

Cool little ficus and grown so well.
This is a very nice little tree in a small pot. It arrived today in great condition, healthy and thriving. I appears to be a well established mature plant. It will be interesting to see it grow. It has an interesting crook in it's trunk. Great shape and the right size for my plant shelf.

Arrived healthy and well protected
I was reluctant buying any kind of plant this way, but it turned out great. The plant arrived on time and very carefully packed. The base of the bonsai was strapped down with tape to some Styrofoam blocks, and then the whole thing buried in Styrofoam peanuts for added protection during shipping. The plant looks healthy and already has an intriguing shape. This is a gift for my daughter, and I could not be more pleased. I know she’ll love it! With my photos, I tried show the way the pot is secured at the base, as well as what I hope is a good shot of the tree itself.
