It worked well to descale my kettle

This review is for "Sage Compatible Descaling Solution & 10 Sage Cleaning Tablets. 200ml Sage Descaler Compatible with All Sage and Breville Coffee Machines. Removes Limescale and Provides Hotter Coffee." The kit contains two doses of descaler (which needs to be diluted to use) and ten regular cleaning tablets. All this costs around £15 at the time of review, which for domestic use is pretty expensive. The descaler does work well, but no better than I can achieve with basic white vinegar or citric acid methods at a much lower price. The coffee cleaner tablets are pretty good for those with any form of standard espresso machine (not the pod type), although with only ten doses they don't last very long with a recommended once a week use. I'm not sure I could ever justify the £15 price for this, although the individual items in this kit could be bought separately if that matches your needs better. I rate it four stars for being too expensive.

Use it all the time to keep my machine running

Working grand. As expected, cleaned and easily maintained the sage Bambino plus machine for several months. Quite easy to use, there's instructions. All you need for probably 3-4 months if you using coffee machine sparingly so totally good value.

We don’t have an espresso machine — just a regular electric kettle that gets a lot of use and, as a result, a lot of limescale buildup. We figured we’d try this descaler as a bit of a DIY hack. The descaling solution itself worked well; it definitely helped cut through the scale in the kettle. The cleaning tablets, on the other hand, didn’t seem to do much in this context. We were also a bit cautious about the tablets possibly leaving residue, so we made sure to rinse the kettle thoroughly afterwards — not something you want lingering in your tea or coffee. All in all, a reasonable off-label use of the product if you’re in a pinch, but it’s clearly designed for espresso machines and probably works best with them. Still, the descaler did what we hoped it would, so a solid 4 stars from us.

Great product. Perfect for cleaning my sage coffee machine. Simple to use and value for money. Saved buying this set opposed to directly from the branded site. Recommend this purchase
