Given this to my 17 year old (M) cat which has severe hard and dry stool issue that would take him puking to do the number 2 business. Since giving this to him every morning we have seen great improvement! Stool went back to healthy moist logs. Will recommend to senior kitties!

Unfortunately, this did not work for our cat who kept going to her tray straining but no poo! I had to take her to the vet for constipation treatment after using this product for a week without any change.The vet gave the cat a mini-enema and 7 days laxative treatment ( to be given in her food x3 a day). She pooped before I got her home and has started to poo daily since the vet visit which is a result.The vet bill was only 30 pounds which was surprisingly cheaper than this product!!!

To disguise the taste mix with liquivite and administer in a syringe, or mix into Lick e Licks or strong flavoured cat food. This works surprisingly well for my cat who suffered an internal blockage through hair ball. It almost led to surgery, but shifted in the end with treatment. Now I give him this and 4 ml of liquid paraffin (which he licks off the plate) twice a day. I freeze liquivite in small plastic pots and defrost one at a time and store in the fridge.An expensive product but it lasts a long time. Cheaper than vet’s bills.

Bought for cat who unknowingly to us had constipation due to dry cat food. Now we give him the drops just two days a week to keep him comfortable. Would highly recommend

My cat's chronic constipation seems worsened by CKD or I fear something else more sinister.Bought this as ran out of usual medication. Helped to some degree but more fully with motility medicine.I think this product is excellent but fear my cat may have a more serious problem.

I read the reviews before buying this and after spending a week at the vet and numerous enemas and almost losing my cat, I went with the reviews that said the cats hated the flavor and despised it...but it did work. That's all I needed to hear...that it worked. I want my cat healthy and as naturally as possible. I don't want him in severe pain and at the vet every day like he was...not to mention the thousands in vet bills in a week. He does HATE it but the 15 seconds it takes to get it down him in a syringe, is worth it. I mix it with tuna juice or chicken broth to try yo make it as good as it can be. Whatever you mix it with, it coagulates FAST and looks disgusting so I can see why he hates it. But it is better than giving straight and he won't even consider it mixed in food as they can smell it. I tried! Just ruined a lot of expensive food. Results with my cat are fast! He's usually in the litter box within 30 minutes after giving it to him. Worth every penny!!! And a whole lot healthier than enemas and prescription meds!!

My cat had an obstipation a few years back and ever since has had trouble. I have him on a special diet and also use PEG powder in his wet food twice daily, and he STILL has trouble keeping things moving sometimes, it usually happens when the weather changes, it gets very hot or cold and his habits change, but also for some reason it happens around christmas and as you may imagine this is pretty much the worst time to have to visit the vet! This year I ordered this 'Smooth BM Gold' because the vet was closed and I couldn't get the lactulose. It seems like this is working really well I am noticing more poops in the box and he feels more relaxed when I'm handling him. This changed the way he poops for the better! Very happy.

Das Futter wird mit dem Mittel ignoriert, so dass wir es nur mit mehreren Gelatinekapseln und Leberwurst verabreichen konnten. Ohne jede Wirkung ist es einfach zu stressig und für Katz und Mensch und definitiv zu teuer. Für den Preis hätte ich auch eine entsprechende Wirkung erwartet. Wir sind auf anraten des Tierarztes nun auf Movicol (Macrogol) umgestiegen. Es ist deutlich billiger und hilft. die Dosierung für Macrogol bz. Movicol aromafrei wäre zwischen 1/8 Tl. bis 1/4 Tl. in Wasser aufgelöst, ein bis zweimal täglich. Fragt bitte dazu vorher Euren Tierarzt! Ich würde dieses Mittel daher nicht nocheinmal kaufen.

This is horrible stuff ! Has great reviews but so disappointed. Has horrible smell and I assume taste. My cats hated it. Hid from me for days . Forced them to take it and to make it worse did not work .!!! Waaste of money !

My cat wife is so constipated that I also have to give her a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLAX mixed in with a little of wet cat food, and she is about 16 pounds which is why it has to be a 1/2 teaspoon of MiraLax that I buy at the grocery store under the instructions of my professional Veterinarian, and the rhythm is that on the day of a good bowel movement I pass up giving her the MiraLAX, and on the very next day I give a 1/2 of a teaspoon of MiraLAX each day until another good and again and on that day I pass up the treatment only to follow the next days with the MiraLAX until the day of a good bowel movement and again I pass up the MiraLAX only on that day; however, it does seem to work better of a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the morning and a 1/4 of MiraLAX in the evening, but that means that I need more wet cat food; therefore, I just do 1/2 of a teaspoon once with a little of wet cat food, and the rest of the time she gets this dry cat food mixed in with the dry cat food for Urinary problems that occurred with her constipation that also had her throwing up all the time as well, and when I stay on the rhythm of the MiraLAX all of the problems disappeared meaning that there is no constipation and no urinary problems and no throwing up all of the time. I wish that I was wealthy enough to create a dry cat food with MiraLAX mixed in and it makes me wonder why someone like Purina has not already done this because it would solve so many problems for cat lovers and their overall health where good bowel movements are definitely required.
