Rear Cover for Automatic Microchip Cat Pet Feeder - Prevents Persistent Pet from Getting Food from The Back of The Feeder

Purchased out of necessity to prevent our dog and a younger small cat from accessing the food from the side/back of the feeder while the intended cat is eating. This cover works like a charm. It fits precisely on the feeder and is easy to install. Removal for cleaning is simple by depressing the built in retaining clips and lifting the cover clear of the feeder. So far, it appears scratch resistant and cleans easily. The cover has the added benefit that it prevents splashes from wet food ending up on the wall behind the feeder. In the open position, the automatic cover for the bowl does make light contact with the device but does not appear to affect the performance of the feeder.

Well worth the purchase. The fit and sealing on the bowls is excellent.

I'm replacing bowls that I have had for several years. These are sturdy and fit perfectly. The seals fit tight and keep the food fresher.

They definitely keep other pets from sneaking a snack through the back BUT the lid hits it every time it opens which gets annoying. It also alerts other pets that someone is eating.

This worked great at keeping my cat's new companion out of her face while she eats. He tries to dig into her dish while she's eating and this has stopped him from even trying so she can eat in peace. It's easy to clip on, is sturdy, and a sound design. I don't love that I had to buy this separately when the machine itself is like $170. This should just be part of the machine. So while this item is a good value for the money.... it would be better to come with the $170 machine to begin with.
