Superb bookcase
The bookcase was easy to assemble especially as there were no instructions with it but the amazon advert showed how to put one together and it was easy to follow. I bought three and the third one, when I opened it, had assembly instructions with it but had two of the same side which meant that it could not be built. I asked for a replacement side but had to send the whole unit back and wait for a replacement. All in all an excellent buy and well worth the money.

Meat Pie or a Banquet
I purchased 2 of these units, they are Mahogany Veneer finish not solid wood, but at this price what do you expect, I've read some very derogatory reviews about the bookcases, ignore them, I'm 84 and if I can assemble them anybody can, one person said he had to get a joiner/carpenter in and he failed to assemble his unit, all I would say to that is I'm glad I didn't ask him to hang a door for me, they are not the most sturdy units, but if you fit two braces across the back of the bookcases one top and bottom the become quite solid, also you will need these (braces) to fix the bookcase to the wall, to stop it toppling if any children climb on it. If you want a Banquet don't buy a Meat Pie.

Seller very helpful
There were some items missing from the original package. When I contacted the seller through Amazon he was very helpful and had the missing items sent. If you need to contact him, do it through Amazon and not his website as he has a problem with the contacts page. The bookcase is exactly what I wanted, both in size and colour and I couldn't find anything similar anywhere else for a similar price. I would order another if required.

These book shelves are not strong enough to hold hard back books
When I put hard back books on the second from bottom shelf, the plastic clips holding the shelf snapped and the shelf fell, taking the next one down with it. The plastic that stayed in the wood is impossible to remove so I have had to balance the shelves on top of the books. I'd like to contact the supplier but can't so cannot get any help with this matter.

Poor value for money
Bought this as a back up, BC the brand I wanted was sold out.It cost the same, and was also 6 tiers, so I had reasonable expectations. On un-boxing, I found that one of the panels was snapped in 2.Every stage of building it, was slow BC I had to repairs. Clearly poorly manufactured.I had to separately purchase flat braces and corner brackets, to reinforce the whole of the top cabinet.Only now that I've done additional work for it, is this bookshelf actually suitable and sturdy. I'm amazed it took so long to put together. Instructions are fairly intuitive.I paid £75 as advertised, but the manufacturing quality is akin to that of a £30 bookshelf. Not particularly happy with it, but I'm glad I won't have to spend any more time building it.

Good 4 Older Books
To start with the purpose of the enterprise - shelving books. Books have got bigger, including paperbacks. If, like me you buy a lot of books, some new, but many from pre-1970, then you will find it difficult to find affordable shelving, which will house books less then 12 inches (I think you will see my problem by my use of duo-decimal). Most modern six foot shelving units assume that you only need five shelves, and that your books will be big, and no doubt you will use some space by statues, vases, and other frippery. So for me these units, (I bought 2 of them), hit the jackpot. They were quite hard to assemble, so I would advise two, but the bolts which hold the top half to the bottom, give the units great strength. If you have a lot of old, pre-1970s books, many of which will be no more than 7 inches high, I recommend DVD cases. For slightly larger books these shelves are ideal, and affordable - but a question, why is it because I by books do furniture companies assume I am a multimillionaire?

Good for manga and graphic novels
Works good for manga and graphic novels.Shelf will bend if all you got are oversized volumes but it's acceptable. For the price it's ok. Like the color but I have seen that is was not available when I wanted to buy 3rd unit.I attached it to the wall and it's nice and secure.Generally good purchase. And delivery was quicker then estimated.
