Stone Effect Traditional Ornamental Plastic Pedestal Free Standing Wild Bird Bath Outdoor Garden Feeder

Lovely addition to my garden, easy to assemble and not heavy so easy to keep clean.

This feels and looks very good for the price. It's light, as you would expect with plastic, but rigid. The paint job looks good, even at short distances. Luckily, the pole connecting the base to the bowl is hollow and I filled it with dry sand. This makes the whole thing feel a little more solid. Hopefully, the birds will be as impressed as I am.***** UPDATE *****The addition of small pebbles in the bowl provides even more stability and creates a shallow area suitable for small birds. Sparrows are frequent visitors and I have spotted two magpies drinking. No pidgins so far.There have been high winds for a few days and the bird bath has remained upright without the aid of the supplied stakes, which I doubt would provide much help anyway.

I wanted something for a shady dry part of the garden where not much grows and as a result it looked a bit sad. I have a lot of bird feeders up there so decided a birdbath would be ideal. Didn't need anything too expensive given its location and I already have a vintage heavy stone pedestal bath elsewhere. This one had good reviews so I took the plunge. I wasn't expecting too much given it's plastic and a fairy low price but when it arrived, after my initial 'yike's moment, I actually quickly changed my mind once I put it together. Close up it doesn't really look like stone at all with its rather rough handed paint work. However I put the bird bath in its place and when spotted from the kitchen window by a family member they instantly said 'is that cast iron'? So I guess job kind of done in that respect! Ridiculously easy to put together in less than a few minutes, 3 separate pieces simply rotate/screw together. It is very lightweight so if putting on an exposed hard surface it could be suseptable to topping in heavy gusty winds, particularly when empty of water. It came with 3 ground anchor pegs for use on soil or grass, but I didn't find them particularly effective so used 3 cheap U shaped metal pegs I had left over from laying a patio weed membrane. During storm Francis these were tested and thankfully my birdbath stayed upright, and the water actually stayed in the bowl! Speaking of which, I put 3 large flat stones in the bath to help smaller birds as the bowl is quite wide, and deep at the centre. It has a nice design around the rim to compliment that at the base. In all I'm pleased with my purchase and it does the job, adding interest to a bare spot in the garden and creating a day spa for the birds! win-win.

This is a really good bath and easy to put together. The bowl is a good size and all is plastic so easy to clean. It comes with ground stakes for pinning down to stop it blowing away. Great value for your money.

Bought two to be symmetrical in the garden. One for water for the birds, one for food.Both still standing despite winds, frosts and snow.Ended up drilling holes into the basin for the food one so that the rain would be able to escape - was easy to achieve and looks great still - didn't affect structure at all.

It looks nice in the garden but have had to put stones in water to weigh it down. Rather light and can blow over in wind. However, the birds love it.

I'd been researching birdbaths for a while now and decided to order this as a trial - my thinking was if the bird enjoyed using it, I would buy a sturdier one. Having had it a couple of weeks, I can say that it is very popular - the birdbath is deep enough for even larger bird to use. Feels very sturdy and hasn't come close to tipping over. Aesthetically, its not an exact stone dupe but it does look less plastic-y than many of the other so I'm happy how it looks in my garden.

This was a cheap and cheerful addition to my Garden. Currently having a revamp so birds have lost pond they used to use. Will buy a more expensive stone one at later date, but this is ok. Looks like Stone from a distance. Bigger than expected. Didn't use pegs as on paving slabs but weighted down with some stones and ok in high winds. Birds seem to like it. Great price.
