I developed a terrible canker sore right under my tongue I couldnt talk or eat I struggled to swallow even liquids. It was about a third of a Q-tip deep and about 2 Q-tips wide. As soon as I applied this I did have a slight burn for a split second and then I felt absolutely nothing. The relief I felt was an absolute blessing. I was able to talk, eat and drink without any pain. It doesn't last 6 hours, at least it didnt for me. I'd say it lasted about 2. I was using other numbing products which I was unaware you could overuse and they lasted about 5 minutes at most and they really didnt numb it, just took the edge off. If you ever develop a canker sore I highly recommend this. You will feel such a relief and be completely pain free. My only complaint is the size of the tube and the consistency. Its similar to honey. I'd highly recommend applying to the tip of a Q-tip and holding for a few seconds. It will harden eventually if it gets on your teeth so you may have to go in and scrape it off. If I had known how small the tube was I would have purchased 2. Canker sores typically take 1-2 weeks to heal and if used a few times daily this will not last 2 weeks. That however, does not make this product any less amazing.

I can finally eat pain free with Zilactin-B. I’ve tried multiple other products this week and this is the only one that has worked. It essentially forms this hardened bandaid over the sore that protects it, and it stays on and in place SO well! It is important to note that if you have a large or deep sore that requires you to use more product than the thin layer the box says, then you need to give it a lot more time to dry and harden. You should also still eat carefully so you don’t accidentally just rip the cover off, but you can otherwise eat and drink pretty much like normal without any pain, which is critical. It’s also not super visible, even on your lips, which is nice compared to other patches. It still feels a little awkward, but honestly, still worth it for the relief! The first time I put it on, it did burn pretty intensely, but it was still so worth it to be able to eat and otherwise get significant pain relief after it dried. After that, it did actually look and feel like the sore was finally healing some, and it didn’t burn nearly as bad to put it on again after the initial time. Great product for a great price! Absolutely recommend this to anyone suffering canker sores!

I've been useing this product for years! Use at that first tingle or sign of a cold sore/canker sore. Im not gonna lie it may sting, but it gets rid of the sore quickly!

Probably the best canker sore treatment I've tried so far after trying many. Like many treatments it's pretty painful when applying it, but does provide quick pain relief. How well you apply it partly determines how long it will stay on, but I've never gotten it to last 6 hours. Also it tends to come off while eating. That being said, it's not a huge deal to just reapply the stuff afterwards. Getting the gel to stick to the inside of your mouth is a bit of a challenge, but much easier if you use a q-tip. For me it doesn't seem to have any effect on how long the sore takes to heal, but it's the best treatment I've found for the pain in the meantime. Well worth the purchase.

I’m honestly shocked—in the best way—because this actually works. I get severe canker sores on both sides of my tongue that grow to nickel size (yes, really). They’re so painful I’ve needed injections before, and since I talk for a living, they make it incredibly hard to do my job. I’ve tried everything, and nothing has truly helped until this. There is a brief sting when you first apply it but then the relief is almost immediate. That brief sting is nothing compared to the pain of the sores themselves. The relief is unbelievable, and I will absolutely keep this on hand at all times. Easily the most effective and least harsh solution I’ve ever found!
