Great disk for CCTV NVR
Excellent Hard Drive that I have added in to a NVR. Disk was detected straight away and formatted perfectly. This operates perfectly fine for multiple 4k feeds so speed wise does the job. I've only had it installed for a matter of weeks so cannot determine how resilient it is.

A very good and reliable hard drive for CCTV.
I bought this to replace an identical one that I bought about 10 years ago. I use them for multi camera CCTV that records AHD 24/7. 8TB stores 8 channels for around 4 weeks before overwriting the files. Comes very well packed and is a simple 'plug, format and play'. Delivery was quicker than expected. All good.

Working fine, just a little noisy
Arrived on time, and I've installed it into my UDMSE without any issues. However, it's noisier than I expected. Apparently, this is typical with larger disk drives

I had problems with it, it didn't work at all - but the package was damaged by post. the disk was making a mechanical click and it was not recognized by the Operating System. I opened a case to the manufacturer in Czech Republic and they replaced it very fast. I had also the seller willing to replace it - even if the retun window of 30 days has passed. The replacemt disk works very well. high continous transfer rate, no excessive noise. Asking Western Digital to replace it with a RED Pro one, I received ensurance that this model (Purple Pro) is build with the same high standards as the Red serie. Do not buy this product if you want to create a RAID! For RAID, choose RED series.

There is no substitute for the quality and reliability of Western Digital's high-end products. Their black, gold, purple, and red lines of drives are excellent.
