Vitamix Ascent X4 Blender, Professional-Grade, 5 Preset Blending Programs, 48-ounce Container, Self-Cleaning, Polar White

My vitamix from the 1980s quit working. I hoped to save money by using a food processor instead. Unfortunately they have very different blades and the outcome was less than desirable. After careful consideration ($$) I decided to buy another one. So, I did some research and chose the Ascent 4x. I like the size of the pitcher, the pre programmed options and quiet engine. Wow, just wow! My old vitamix was very nice, but the new one takes it to the next level. What I don’t like is: the tamper seems to be made out of hollow plastic. I’m not sure how well it will hold up. This version doesn’t offer the individual to go mixing tumbler that is available with the pro 5200. I like the added convenience of mixing a smoothie in the same container you will drink it out of. This was almost a deal breaker for me, but the size of the machine was a bigger issue. I am not disappointed at all. The ease of use and consistency made it worth while.

Great machine with all the easy features. We have made soup, peanut butter, and smoothies. We bought the food processor attachment to go with this so that we don't have to get our other food processor out or have it sitting on the counter. This can do so many things and the self cleaning makes it simple to clean and ready for the next thing you are making.

We had an old blender that was on its last leg, around 20 years old, so we were looking for an upgrade with the same reliability. We did a lot of research and landed on vitamix, we chose this one due to the electronic display and the pre-loaded settings. Honestly, it’s so fast and so smooth that making smoothies is a breeze now. We did find that the preloaded smoothie setting can make the smoothies a little fluffier/airer than we’d like, so we do it manually and it comes out perfect every time. We’ve had no problems so far, no ice chips or chunks of anything. The capacity of the blender is a decent size, we can make around three tall glasses of smoothie per blend. Make sure you pay attention to the order in which you put in your ingredients, as that helps with the functionality a lot.

I'm pretty happy with it. My only complaints are that I wish it had some form of *OFF* switch, and the container it come with started getting discolored after a relatively minimal number of uses. I worked around the off switch by putting a small surge strip next to where this is on my shelf and am using that for an off switch. I did buy the stainless steel container, which frankly I just think should be what it comes with by default.I also bought the aer container, which I regretted. I never use it, even for recipes that are supposedly good for it. For example you can make whipped cream with the aer container...it's much simpler to make whipped cream with a hand blender, or a whipped cream dispenser that uses no2.

I add 2 cups of water to make my green juice with some fruit in it! I use the Smoothie button twice to get it smooth.I cleaned all parts easily in 3 minutes or less by hand washing it. I also put it in the dishwasher too and no problems. There is a display screen on this Vitamix. I like the preset buttons on this blender and the option to do it manually yourself.Using the push down stick that comes with it, is necessary for a good blend.

I received the Vitamix Ascent X4 Blender yesterday, and it has already made a huge impression! My wife is so happy with it, and we’re both impressed with how well it works. It blends everything smoothly and efficiently, just as advertised.The 48-ounce container is perfect for our needs, and the self-cleaning feature is a great bonus—it’s so easy to use. This blender is definitely a winner in our kitchen. If you’re looking for a professional-grade blender that delivers on its promises, this is the one! Highly recommended!

I bought this blender after getting tired of cycling through cheaper versions. The price is difficult to swallow, but the value for the price is great! This blender has exceeded my expectations. I primarily use it for smoothies and it does an amazing job blending frozen fruit. The cleaning feature is awesome. So far, it’s been a great investment.

Excellent blender. Made my smoothie a breeze to make. It has pre-programmed settings, you just put in the ingredients, and it does its thing.
