The material is a little thin and you will probably need a slip under the skirt. Instead of the bib that came with the costume, I will wear a white short sleeved shirt under the jacket. I ordered an adjustable criss-cross bowtie in the same color to complete this outfit. As far as size goes: I am 5'10" and 145 pounds. I usually wear a size medium top and size 10 pants/dresses. The jacket was a perfect fit and the sleeves were actually long enough! I did have to have the skirt taken in a little for a better fit. There is a side zipper and an elastic waist band in the back of the skirt for someone who might have a thicker waist. Hat is somewhat smaller, only because I have a big head =-) But, I wore it for a Halloween party and I went as Agent Carter from the Marvel Comics. Everyone loved it!!!
