Amazing book! I have 2 daughters currently in Military Academies (AF and Navy) and my husband and I are retired Army.This book should be required reading at all Academies, but should also be on every high school reading list as well! Going to make this a MUST GIVE gift to many! The lessons are timeless, invaluable, and this is definitely a book to keep by your side, if you are doing any presentations/teaching! What a gift you are, Sir! My hope is that my daughters have instructors/leaders in their lives that live by your principles! COL Art Athens is the one who recommended. He is another great example of the types of people I want my girls to have the honor or knowing! ;)

Col Shusko was / is a mentor and lead by example over all the years I worked around him as a Marine. His words, stories and Warrior like mentality are top notch.

this is one of the very few book that I can say I love because it has help me understand thing in life from a different point of view.

I am a Judo student as well as a Black Belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor. I was introduced to this book by a fellow instructor and it can definitely put your mind where it needs to be and ties in the Synergy of MCMAP. Mr. Shusko puts some real thought into the stories of this book and you can see the look on the students faces after we go through the stories.

Use this with my Marines after I destroy their souls with physical training. Also good to use with safety briefs heading into a weekend.
