The Age of Magical Overthinking: Notes on Modern Irrationality

This book is really great and provided a lot of definitions in context of today’s modern society. I really enjoy anything Amanda Montell writes.

Great read, very elucidating and engaging.

It is as the cover states: an author’s notes on irrationality in our world and how it has impacted her life. Weaving scientific findings with personal anecdotes, she highlights how all of us are influenced by evolutionary biases. These are no ground- breaking revelations, but they serve as good reminders when navigating the current state of our society. I recommend this book to those that want to take a step back from their own life and look at the bigger picture.
