An ABS compass with aluminum, they have N,S,E,W marking with sighting slot, lens, magnifies view which will help navigate to targets using direction given even in low light condition. Plus a fire starter using magnesium alloy assisting in starting a fire with a few wood chips, twigs. Both of these items need to be practice, lot of it, we goes through drills to get familiar and get up to speed to read, following directions. What to look for and collect along the way to help with start the fire. The two items is small and light able you to carry them on your belt inside a water-proof pouch which is not provide. Compass require a long paracord rope to keep them handy, nearby and from getting lost--again not provide. The baring numbers are on the directional floating part of the compass. The sight finder is useless. The directional floating part moves to much. It took over three minutes for it to stop moving. If you bump it slightly the movement starts all over.
