Heavy Brackets for Heavy Jobs!
I was surprised when I opened this package. I did not expect these clamps to be so strongly made. Sure, they claim to be able to lift 5,500 pounds each but there a lot of very exaggerated claims on Amazon. When you look at the pictures you think to yourself, okay, they really mean 5,500 pounds total weight between all 4 brackets. When I opened the package and saw them, that is when I realized they were not boasting, these puppies will do what they say. Anyway, I was lifting one of the heaviest pickup engines ever made, a Cummins 5.9 out of my Dually. It is a 6 cylinder cast iron block weighing almost as much as a Mini Cooper. (Alright, now I’m guilty of exaggerating, but you get the point) It is a very heavy engine. I managed to find four points with 12mm bolts (a tiny bit smaller than ½” bolts) hook them up and lift. It was a great help that the base plates are angled so that the chain loops do not bind. I scuffed the pretty red paint a little but that’s okay. It popped the engine right out. That’s a lie. It took 30 minutes of wiggling the engine out of the engine bay. It is a very long engine unlike a V8. I never once felt like the brackets were not up to the job.The brackets are very well made and the sturdiest ones I have ever used.I highly recommend these brackets!

You get what you pay for...heavy duty, well made lifting brackets
The media could not be loaded. The Verdict:RECOMMENDThe GOOD:- Very thick, well made- Paint/finish is good- Dimensions are accurate- Good valueThe BAD:- Nothing to noteChanges to get 5-stars:- Can't think of anything at this timeDetails:See my video for full details. These are solid. They are intended for lifting engines, but you certainly could use them for other purposes. I plan to bolt these to equipment to chain them down for transport. The bolt hole should be sufficient, but if not I'll find a good use for them anyway. There isn't much else to say other than they no doubt should work very well for lifting engines. In my photos you'll see I included some hooks for reference. They are both 3/8" hooks if you can't tell in the pictures. There are no issues with either one of them fitting through the chain link.************************************************My Rating Scale:5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. The item provided more value than I anticipated and is a great deal. The item seems very well made and should last for a long time. (HIGHLY recommend)4 STARS - Item worked exactly as expected if not slightly better. Item appears to be made well. I have no major complaints, it just didn't exceed my expectations (Good value, well made, met expectations, would recommend)3 STARS - Item worked as expected without any surprises, good or bad, and did what I expected it to do (met expectations; might recommend if a good value)2 STARS - Item easily wore out or didn't work as well as described, was disappointing for the price, and/or was of poor quality (might return if expensive; would not recommend).1 STAR - Item easily broke/failed, did not match description and was not useful or did not worked as described (do not buy; return if possible; would not recommend; junk/waste of money).

Well Made/Designed Lift Brackets - Heavy Grade & Thick Steel - 5,500 Lb Rating
Ordered this Pack of (4) 7100 Lifting Bracket Set for Engine - Heavy-Duty Engine Lift - 5500 Lb Capacity to use in my repair shop. Great addition to my tool collection and use. I'm always working on one of my pieces of equipment ( two trenching machines, tractors, & mowers ) and often can use these for my applications. These make a great strong lifting tool to lift and pull on engines, transmissions, and (4) & (6) ft trenching bars and hydraulic motors as it's all heavy steel and several pieces weigh from 500 Lbs to well over 2,000 Lbs. Having these (4) lifting brackets will make my life easier as I'm usually working alone and no help. Most of the heavy weight items has from 3/8" G8 to 1/2" G8 bolts and these are perfect size for my use. I like the very thick steel brackets and the curve in them. Makes lifting/pulling lots easier. These are made of heavy grade galvanized steel and have a nice red and smooth powder coat finish. Will certainly last me a lifetime. I recommend these lifting brackets. Happy with order

Engine lifting bracket
This is probably one of the best things we have gotten off Amazon. We use this set consistently and have had no issues at all. They are easy to use. They move like they should. I like that they are orange so they are easy to find in the toolbox. Over all I’m super happy with the quality of these and how versatile they are.

nice lifting eyes
This is a nice set of lifting eyes. They have a ring to attach the shackle to so it puts less strain on the lifting bolt. It's nice having them painted red, they look nice.

They look to be strong enough
The overall build looks to strong. The plate is 10 mm plate or just above 3/8". The link is 12 mm or just below 1/2". The link is welded. The bolt hole can fit a 1/2" bolt but nothing more. The only thing I can take exception to is that the plate is bent in a U shape. There is no actual flat that the bolt can torque against. The area that the bolt head is not large enough for a washer to sit flush nor could it due to the shape. In the end if you buy I would use a hardened bold at least a grade 5 or 10.9 metric. But best of all use your best judgment. Thanks for reading.
