Great Charger and Excellent Battery Life
I enjoy this charger and battery set. It indicates what battery level you’re at. Both batteries came in brand new quality. It’s small and convenient to store in small spaces. Nothing complicated about it just plug it in your room, kitchen or outside and it’ll have your batteries charge in a blink of an eye. Also the battery life is amazing.

Nice combo
Works great and needed addition to my tools. Fair price when looking at other locations. Standard Makita quality!

Expensive but they work and last.
Expensive but get what you pay for, aftermarket batteries are cheap but don't last. I still have a couple makita batteries I bought in 2017.

Slow charger, but has some advantages
This charger (DC18SD) is 2x to 3x slower than my other chargers (like the DC18RC), but it has some benefits, probably better for your batteries, quieter (no fan), more energy efficient and maybe better if using in a car/van and running it off a smaller power inverter. See my detailed review on youtube titled "Makita Battery Chargers: DC18RC vs DC18SD Comparison" and "Makita Charger Run on Car Battery with 200w Inverter". Coupled with a cheap power inverter, it could be a cheaper and more flexible alternative to the much more expensive Makita DC18SE car charger.
