Great primer for kids on the presidential election processes.

Fun book presenting election information that kids of many ages can understand, yet not too silly or young to be enjoyed by the slightly older set as well. I think I finally understand the electoral college!

Good book, needs to update the information. The information was helpful, my children enjoyed reading it and learned about the requirements to be a presidential candidate and found the info about the line of succession very interesting.

I don’t think Syl Sobel or anyone at Sourcebooks could have imagined the current happenings in the 2024 election (July 2024). Luckily, though, the election process remains the same. And in this updated version of Presidential Elections and Other Cool Facts, Sobel takes readers through that process in a straight-forward, bare-bones facts kind of way. Simple illustrations, charts and lists help further expand on concepts. And an included glossary, resource guide, lists of reference books and websites and an index make it easy for kids to find even more clarity about the process. This is an excellent resource in the home or classroom.

I grew up with the Author of these books and bought them for my Grandson to read.

Perfect addition to our homeschool, especially during an Election year!

We tried to cram it in before the election this year & got through a lot of it but not all. What I was very helpful for my & my 11 year old!

Honestly I am terrible when it comes to politics. The last time I learned about politics was back in junior high when we had to take a test on government stuff. I feel like literally right after that I was so overloaded, I forgot it all! Well this book from Barron's is a great book for kids through adults to learn about presidential elections and more. The book is very easy to read and even has illustrations throughout the book. The book has answers to questions about how the government is ran and facts that are fun to read such as "Who was the oldest president?" and "Which president led for four-terms?" I learned a lot from this book and my 9 year old seemed really interested. It is a great book for parents to pick up a refresher especially if they have curious kids asking them questions about the upcoming election. The format is very easy to read and follow and it is not full of overwhelming text.I received this book to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
