Lovely pen, great weight for me, posts well and a very smooth fine nib. Delighted!

Very happy, looks fantastic, has been complimented on by many who have seen it. Writes very well, not leaking, easy to use. Some fountain pens are quite thin, and don’t sit well in the hand, not this, but also not too big and bulky like some. Very pleased, using it instead of my Montblanc!

I paid £100 for a Laban fountain pen that looks similar to. This was one third the price , is infinitely more beautiful and writes better. Absolutely corking piece of kit.

Got this after seeing a youtube review and I was not disappointed excellent writer with a smooth wet nib and my first pen with an ebonite feed.

Apart from it's homage design it's a great build and fine nib. A pen to be proud of even at this price.

The weight of the pen is not overly heavy, and is no heavier than most fountain pens.

Nice pen with a #8 nib. Faster delivery than usual Chinese websites.

The pen is turned acrylic short and girthy. I have to post it but when I do it is well balanced and light. The medium #8 nib is a Western medium and very wet. I felt like it was a blunt instrument until I swapped in the fine nib, also a Western fine. It too is wet, a little toothy but acceptably smooth and tuned. The ebonite feed on the #8 nib is more than adequate. The nib change was a cinch. The metal hardware gives the plunger a very positive and sturdy feel and the pen fills readily. In all the essentials the pen is very nice. I'm suspicious of the furniture, the band and clip only because I would suspect tarnish over time. This I would say would be the one feature that would distinguish it from a much more expensive pen.

Attratto dalle recensioni, ho voluto acquistare la penna Majohn che vedete, che si ispira ad un modello molto noto. Le dimensioni sono: chiusa cm. 14; aperta cm. 13,5; diametro circa 16 mm.; peso circa 34 g. La penna è splendidamente rifinita, con clip lucida e fascetta intorno alla base del cappuccio decorata finemente; il cappuccio non è calzabile. Al di sopra di essa vi è un'altra fascetta più piccola non decorata, cioè lucida. Un' altra fascetta dorata si trova a metà del fondello. Il meccanismo è a stantuffo, in ottone, con grande capacità di riempimento ( almeno 1,5 ml). Nella parte posteriore del cappuccio, dotato di filettatura che si avvita perfettamente al corpo, è inciso "Moon Man". Stessa incisione si ritrova sul pennino, a vite, decorato, privo di foro di sfiato, con alla base la misura del pennino; in questo caso M. Posso dire che avrei preferito un pennino con foro di sfiato, come si vede nella foto sul sito. Il pennino in questione è taglia 6, ma è disponibile anche in taglia 8, di varie misure, con aumento del prezzo. Caricata la penna, scrive benissimo, con una misura M di tipo europeo, molto scorrevolmente e senza intoppi. Il pistone in ottone sbilancia all'indietro la penna (non più di una Pelikan M 800) senza però dare fastidio, in quanto l'impugnatura della sezione, priva di scalini, risulta molto comoda. Non si verificano mai false partenze o affaticamento dell'alimentatore, in plastica. Verrebbe la curiosità di provare le misure F e EF. Non posso quindi parlare male di questa penna per il solo fatto di essere cinese, perchè la qualità dei materiali, soprattutto delle resine, della lavorazione e della qualità di scrittura, sono ottimi. C'è la mancanza del foro di sfiato, ma sono gusti personali. A questo punto le criticità sono: assistenza e pezzi di ricambio; durata delle dorature che all'inizio non si può giudicare. Ma va tenuto presente che anche penne blasonate a volte danno problemi con la durata delle dorature.
