Finally, something that works. Came sealed, very important. I was trying product after product and thought I'd try something that matches my ethnicity. Bingo! Feels great on the skin, has a pleasant scent that is not overwhelming. IDK on the "brightening" part of it but I am used to using Hydroquinone, which for whatever reason you can't get any more without a prescription.Very pleased and will now have to purchase the day cream as well.

This is a very good, under-rated Sleeping Cream. Or as I call it, a sleeping mask that gives a little extra ‘oomph’ of moisture during transitional times of the year.Then again, LUMENE is an excellent skincare line that doesn’t get nearly the press it deserves. I’m guessing it just doesn’t have the advertising budget or friendly beauty editors touting its all-round quality.I love the fact that a lot of major pharmacies stock Lumene products. They are moderately priced.At night, I do a modified (VERY modified) Korean cleansing, treatment and moisturizing regime. Far from the double-digit steps recommended, my regime varies between 7-9 steps. Some would say that’s 7 steps too many but this is what works for me, although I switch it up from time to time.Here’s how I use this Lumene cream:-~. Double-cleansing always, followed by a 1 minute rinse.~ Soap and water to follow. I use Sapoderm or Mysore Sandalwood Soap, usually. I like the feel of good, old-fashioned soap! 1minute rinse with LUKEWARM WATER. NEVER hot water.~ Biologique Lotion P50 - exfoliant and toner. Expensive as heck but one of the VERY few products that’s worth the hype and $$$$~ Essence patted in. Any good Korean one will do. They’re all SK11 dupes at a fraction of the price for the same Blanchett glow.~ In Winter only, Cosrx Snail Mucus serum to follow. It’s got a goopy, tacky feel but it absorbs quickly. Wait 2 minutes.~ Cosrx Galactomyces Brightening Serum on top - for pigmentation & old acne marks.~ A THIN layer of Differin Gel all over, save for eye area. Now available OTC. Thank- you FDA!!~ Olay OTC Retinol cream after Differin’s been fully absorbed. Usually 5 mins. Eye cream sometimes. Aquaphor for eyes in Winter.~ Then, depending on the weather, I apply this LUMENE Vitamin C creme on top of it all.The trick is to pat it into the skin FIRMLY. You’re meant to do a whole ‘slapping’ routine but I think not...This cream is lightweight and non-tacky in feel. It absorbs quickly with NO PILLING over the other products. The other Lumene product I’ve tried is the Valo lotion, but that’s another review. IMO, the Lumene line is the Volvo of skincare products - except that it’s from Finland, not Sweden. It comes with a lot of guff and hoohah touting the benefits Finnish flora and herbs and Finnish water but you can politely ignore all that folderol so beloved of cosmetic copywriters.I read the blurbs that come in the package for my own amusement. P.T. Barnum was on the money about the credulity of the general public.This is a worthwhile product to add to your skincare shelf. It gives skin a nice clarity with REGULAR use. The emollients used in Lumene are very effective. I'm on my 2nd jar, I'm over 60 and live in a cold dry climate and I need good moisturizing. I've used the drug store brands, the department store brands, and even the super exclusive brand. Always on the lookout for something different. Today I put on two layers after my facial. I'm even covering my keratitis to see if they soften. I can only say its different and effective.

Moisturizes without feeling or looking greasy. Does not rub off onto pillow while sleeping (just don't glob on too much - a thin layer is all you need). Has a nice scent, too. My skin is looking better overall, since I started using this as well as the Lumene Day Cream, for the past couple of years. My skin is sometimes sensitive to skin products, but not for Lumene Day Cream or Night Cream.

Love the feel of my skin in the morning. Lovely lotion.

recommended as a night cream, it has a rich consistency. The negative part is its scent. If it was unscented I would buy it again.
