Mosby's Guide to Nursing Diagnosis

The diagnosis book was good. it helped in a lot of Practical Nursing assignments and during clinical rotations. You don't use it much in your career depending on where you are.

I already had the "larger" Ackley's when we were told this was a required book. I was skeptical that it would be more helpful than the large version, but it is so quick and handy, not to mention that you can tote it in a lab coat pocket or your purse. It's like "Cliff's Notes" to nursing diagnoses and care plans. I highly recommend it.

This is a great smaller book for nursing diagnoses. It's clear, concise and fairly easy to find information in. However, it could be a little more user friendly in helping you to QUICKLY find the diagnosis you're looking for. As far as helping with Care Plans, it lacks "related to" information, but great to have as a second book if you already have a Care Plan book.

Its pretty well organized, but how the book is set up, it takes a little time to understand how to fully use the book. Once understood, it is pretty helpful. It includes definitions, defining characteristics, related factors, nursing interventions for diagnosis.

Did the job. Easy to use with categories. Good for nursing school care plans.
