Can't compare to ice when seeking to chill a drink. Maybe it works better for someone who wants straight liquor over "rocks" that don't melt and thin the drink, but it doesn't work at all for a mixed drink, doesn't keep it cold enough.

Put these in my brothers stocking. They were a funny stocking stuffer gift but also useful. He enjoyed them and was able to put them in the bag to take them home when he left. The bag made it easy to keep them all together.
