This is a really good film, I enjoyed it all the way through. I'm a big fan of Lauren Holly and she gave a great performance here. Well worth a view and very good value. Recommend it.

Good film. Like an afternoon drama that's intelligent. Good mood and atmosphere. Keeps the tension at the right pace, wanting you to see what happens next. Its not filled with too much gore, but some sex scenes I feel were unnecessary. But I guess that's just the money men for you . I know for a fact frequently film makers within the drama horror genre are strong armed into ensuring there are T&A especially with a significant female lead. Sigh! just plain unwarranted. I am not a prude, but if we look at all the fantastic films of yester - year how many had nudity and sexual elements of human interaction in detail. We know it happens. IF there is a man and wife within a household and have a child. I know they have sex, I don't need to linger on about it. Tell the story.. tell it well. The Omen did, and it had no sex.It's just unnecessary . I think females and males asked to remove clothing, should get mandatory 50K per reveal enforced by a union. . If that is enforced legally. You will be amazed how creative the writers and producers get all of a sudden. It can be done, If the film tanks and it is because your female lead didn't bare any T&A.. You may need to ask your self .. what's the problem with your film in the first place, also you may be appealing to the wrong audience, those that have a short attention span, and secretly sexually obsessed. Now that's a different problem altogetherThat aside. I think the acting was very good. My only sore point is perhaps the protagonist and Antagonist looked too similar in nature. Not a major thing, but I know it would confuse some folk I know. My thing in film is to go for the easy sell. that's why films are filled with caricatures. If people get it straight away, then they can move on to the next bit of the story and absorb it. Otherwise the audience sits there and ponders, missing the next oncoming points of information. But hey as I said no biggie!!Like it over all, and worth the watch

Wow, snoozefest. I am an avid fan of the Apocalyptic genre (as well as being a horror movie geek), this film was a disappointment. If you're looking for a natural disaster movie with big storms, meteor showers, this is not the film for you.* SPOILER ALERT, THE REST OF THIS REVIEW GIVES AWAY THE PLOT, SO DON'T READ ON UNLESS YOU WISH TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS*In the beginning, there were some clips of tornados, landslides, etc. There was heavy rain, suddenly it stopped. Everyone, bar a handful of thugs in town, disappeared, no real explanation as to why they had vanished, was given. A strange man turned up in the family home, as easily predicted, he turned out to be murderous. Over an hour of this film was just the family, in the home, struggling to cope, this man was there, the father didn't like him etc. Last 10 mins revealed this stranger had murdered his father. The Husband/Father of the family makes him leave, he does. Last 2/3 mins he comes back, there is a small struggle, it's over. Last 20 seconds, the stars start going out, the end of the world is insinuated in the last 5 seconds. Basically, the entire movie, is just a slow, boring struggle of not trusting this strange man, and some 'everyone has disappeared, what is going on' angst. Nothing special about the characters, they're relatively boring, nothing about them makes you care whether or not they live or die. Absolutely no tension in the entire film. I wouldn't recommend to anyone. They could have made a 10 minute version of this film, would have been better, and, saved us an hour of our time. I regret wasting my money and renting this.

Steve Bacic is totally without any doubt the star of this film, and he's so incredibly gorgeous too, he's my only reason for wanting to see it. Its a great movie, and i enjoyed watching it very much, but for me the best part of it is Steve Bacic, i absolutely love him. The dvd also includes the movie trailer, the gag reel and the alternative ending, also the making of the movie, including interviews with the gorgeous Steve Bacic and the other actors who star in the film too.

Loved this movie.

Avec une pochette qui représente une catastrophe majeur d'une grand envergure je dois dire qu'on ne voit pas de grands effets spéciaux dans ce films, l'histoire est quand même bien mais je m'attendait à beaucoup plus.

Stupid movie about a misfit who shows-up at the door of strangers & causes trouble. No real storm. Slow & boring. Gave away.

Kinda interesting...plot was pretty good. Acting was believable even if the storyline was a little hard to follow.If Lauren Holly would have shown her nekkid sweater puppies, her goody box or both, I would have watched this one again. She didn't and the movie suffered from it.C'mon Lauren show them things...everybody is doing it!
