My mother will admit she was, and still is, a terrible cook. She was however, amazing at making homeade apple butter. I remember it would take her two days between peeling and coring apples and canning. Recently, I was craving apple butter, but being too lazy to put in all the effort required (which is really probably not that much - I found some simple recipes), I decided to go for the convenience. However, when I could not find apple butter at the store, so of course, I turned to Amazon. I didn't want any added sugar, and so I found Kauffman's Homeade apple butter.This particular product is sold in a two pack. The jars arrived from rural Pennsylvania to my door in New Mexico, just fine. The jars were packaged well, and there was no breakage, spillage or mess. The jars are generous size, I think -1 pint each.Probably like my husband and his mother's potato salad (THE Holy Grail), the apple butter wasn't as tasty or as tart as my mom's - but for the convenience and Amazon Prime shipping, I don't think I would find much better. With only three ingredients, apples, apple cider and cinnamon, this is as simple and tasty as you can get. It is a darker brown than what I recall Mom's apple butter to be, and could use a bit more cinnamon (personal preference, I like spices).So far, we've enjoyed it slathered on brioche bread, cinnamon swirl bread from Trader Joe's, and I hate to admit, kids even ate it directly from the jar before I caught them.Highly recommend.

Apple butter is delicious and reminds me of my Grandma's and Mother-In-Law's home made recipe. The spice level is just right. I appreciate that no granulated sugar is added. The jars were packaged and labelled extremely well. Apple butter can be hard to find; therefore, I would purchase again online.

This apple butter is delicious. It has NO added sugar or artificial sweeteners so I was worried it would be tart. But it is perfectly sweet. Wonderful for anyone trying to limit sugar intake. Great consistency for spreading. Delicious on warm, buttered toast. I think we ate half the jar the first day we got it! Should have ordered 4 jars. (Comes in a Pkg of 2). You cannot go wrong with Kauffman's Fruit Farm Spiced Apple Butter.

I like apple butter on warm toast with a bit of fresh butter. This brand does not qualify as an appealing, naturally sweet apple taste. My purchase was for 2 jars. The one I tried has been trashed, the remaining one will go to waste unless someone would like to have it.

Well packaged. Really like the no sugar added! Are the Kauffman's religious? I received a booklet in mine, "The Gospel According to John." That was a surprise.

Nice product, low in sugar, so great for those who need to watch their sugar intake - great flavor

The label is not the same as shown for the product. I think it’s the same product but I don’t need the hassle. The advertising should be updated to match what we receive.
