Bought the 1200 version, and charged it for 24 hours before use. The item itself seems solidly made and is silent in operation - no fans or other distractions, and it also gets only warm in use. In fact, there's so little heat being dissipated, I'm happy for it to sit in a cupboard. Bought primarily as back-up power for our CCTV system, and I'm guessing it would suffice for that. When I tried it with the CCTV and a PC (650w PSU) attached, it gave me 5 minutes runtime before the battery was exhausted. So, enough to turn off the PC and save wear on the hard drives, should I be around. The actual switchover from mains to battery worked really well, with no interruption to the power supply, so it's capable of doing its job OK. However, the website experience is woeful. And so is the software that I finally managed to track down. Try to register the product, and try to get the 5 year guarantee that a sticker on the battery proclaims? No chance. The website comes to a complete stop. Installed the software and it immediately interfered with the CCTV software. I couldn't, for the life of me, get the Viewpower power management software to run. Using Windows 10, it appears you may need to mess around with network settings just to see how much charge is left in the battery. These days, things should just work out of the box. I'm not a network novice, but it really wasn't worth the time and hassle getting it to work. You may have more luck. You may not. I've uninstalled the software, and I was in two minds about returning it. However, it was an Amazon Warehouse purchase (I wonder why the initial buyer returned it.....), so I think, given the discount, I'll just leave it hooked up to the CCTV system and hope for the best. Should give me 30 minutes at least, given the power drain.

Works well for keeping my server rack online

It's ok but the stock must be fairly old as the battery isn't charging past 50-60%. Easy enough to change them however. Works well enough with NUT but did require a bit of tinkering.

Wouldn't connect to my Windows 11 PC after installing the UPS software. When I restarted my PC to see if would resolve the issue, my RTX 4080 graphics card had an error code, after several failed attempts of reinstalling drivers I removed the UPS software, I could re install my RTX 4080 drivers. Retuned the UPS as not compatible with my set up, will look at other options. The device looks well built and would have happily used it if not for the above problem. to help this my set up AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor 4.2 GHz ASUS Prime X670 E wifi mother board Zotac RTX 4080 super 32 GB DDR5 Tforce ram

Ok so it looks nice, it does indeed keep the power on when the mains goes off. There its usefulness ends. Lets start with Documentation - there isn't any! There's a quick start guide with a link to the full guide, which as it happens is exactly the same quickstart guide. Which tells you - wait for it - to plug it in and plug your computer into it. Zero mention of the USB port to tell the computer when it's switched to battery, no mention of how any software works. Nothing it literally tells you how to plug in power plugs - how did I manage my life without this information? Ok so maybe the Software is ok right? well they tell you in the box to download the UPSilon2000 software and provide yet another dead link that leads nowhere. Ok so you go to their website, you find the exact model you bought, in my case the UPS ERA Plus 1200, and it takes you to a software download...for something called Tecnomanager. You install it and it doesn't work, now this might be because my PC simply couldn't find the device when it was plugged in - there was no device detected sounds or indications at all. So I tried my laptop, oh interesting I got a windows has found a device sound, for an unidentified universal controller, again the software does nothing, it doesn't connect, it doesn't find the device and there is not even a user manual for the software! So I figure hey plug the Qnap NAS into it, mhmm interesting, go to plugged in external devices guess what - there is no device detected! So my PC and NAS won't detect it, my laptop detects it as an unidentified universal controller and does nothing. To make matters worse you're going to have no idea if you are supposed to use the UPSilon2000 or the Tecnomanager software for the purpose of troubleshooting (if by this point you still have the will to live) because the box and the product website both suggest the opposite to each other! So in short it's going back to amazon sadly, the PC doesn't detect it, the laptop detects sopmething but it has no idea what and who knows what or where the software is.
