Magical product. Son scraped his elbow and took the skin off. A week or so later, he removed the scab that had formed! Back to square one but even worse as wound was now deeper and within a couple of days started weeping and looked yellow. I came online to buy TCP and found this. I remembered we used it a lot for wounds as kids and decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! Wound dried up within 2 days and by the end of the week, with daily application, a proper scab had formed which dropped off about 10-12 days later,wound totally healed and scar smaller than I'd expected.

I purchased this product as nutritional complement. Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and my review if for information and for sharing my experience, which may help prevent overdosing Iodine. My personal experience: I was going through a period of mild depression and was quite tired overall, I don't drink coffee. I initially consumed 1 drop of that very Lugol 7% a day. Within 1 day I became super energised, within 2days I was suddenly not depressed anymore, could not feel tiredness after work, really energised, but could not fall asleep easily also. After a week, I had sleep disorders, was restless, tired and this affected my wellbeing, and depression was back. I realised a single drop likely overdosed me within a week with symptoms like headache and sleep disorders. Now I take it more seriously: This product is very concentrate, do not mess with dosing especially for oral consumption - I provide advice below on how to dose it. I eventually worked out the maths: Given the molar weights of molecular Iodine (I=126.9) and molecular Potassium (K=39.1), This Lugol solution at 7% Iodine (i2) and 14% Potassium Iodide (ki) contains exactly 177mg neat Iodine per mL (= 177mcg/microlitre). It turned out 1 drop (35microliter) lugol 7% equals 6.2milligram neat Iodine element per day. Dosing information: *FDA recommends 150mcg (microgram) per day but this figure is controversial mainly because this dose assumes we are not exposed to any hormone disruptors, such as fluoride in toothpastes, in tap water, in Prozac and many other pharmaceuticals, Bromine in bread flour, in flame retardant vapours contained in wall paints, carpets, sofas, bedding, clothes. Chlorine vapours from bleach and swimming pools etc which challenge our hormone glands including the thyroid, prostate, ovary, testis, breast. There are evidences that modern human needs significantly more than 150mcg (=0.150mg) a day to try balance out the negative effects of some pollutants. *Some paediatric doctors use 12mg Iodine per day protocol for pregnant women to ensure the baby has enough iodine for brain development and secure a higher IQ, prevent cretinism and other brain disorders. *Asians living in Asia who consume lots of sea food have about 3mg Iodine intake per day. *I have an adult body weight and to be on the safe side I now consume 1mg a day (versus 6.2mg initially) and I am fine now, sleep well, no headaches, but certainly less depressed, plus I know I bring necessary Iodine to my glands which reduces risks of cancer occurance. My protocol So you'll ask me - how much of this Lugol solution you need to ingest per day to get 1mg? answer is 5.6 mcL (microlitre) which is very small quantity to measure. I happen to have a precision syringe and could measure that a single drop of that Lugol is 35mcL. if you need only 5.6mcL, that makes 35/5.6 = ~1/6th of a drop. In order to take 1/6th of a drop, measure ~600mL drinking water in measurement mug, add 1 drop of Lugol and drink 1/6th of it - that is 100mL. discard the rest or share with your partner family etc. prepare fresh every day. Note I have adult body weight and I would suggest to adapt quantity for people and children that don't have adult body mass. Bless You.
