Awesome birthday gift
**Edit**I have been in contact with customer support and they will be sending us a replacement. I am very thankful for the fast response and amazing customer support. Will update once it arrives.My daughter received this for her birthday and unfortunately was only enjoyed for less than two days. As she rode the scooter, she got struck by a vehicle going too fast and did not see her. The scooter is damaged, and my daughter is okay with minor internal bruising. I did not purchase insurance on this scooter and even if I did, I do not think that I could get replaced. This scooter did ride pretty smooth and is appropriate for kids age 7 and up.

Great deal for the money
This scooter met all expectations. Super easy to get together and running quickly. This does go 12.5 miles an hour.Looks great, very sturdy.

For 11 year old and 13 year old
They like it and I ride it too. It's fun and fast enough. We have an old Razor scooter that is so loud. This is silent. So far no problems. Kids have been riding some what for a couple of months. Does not get daily use.

Fast enough to be a thrill - really good price as they move up to bigger things
I got this scooter when the kids graduated from what I'll call a training scooter (the kind that is half kick/half electric) and needed something that is basically fully electric. It's a good midrange scooter from that standpoint.The biggest thing here is that it's foldable. For some reason the training ones were fixed, and that made taking them to the park to practice a real chore. This one is bigger, but still folds up to a more manageable size for either one of our cars (small and mid SUVs).The battery is fine for play, I don't think I'd use it for commuting.I think, as a parent, you need to be prepared for the idea that your kids will break stuff, this scooter included. The cool thing is that it's basically modular, and therefore very repairable.They love riding it and it goes fast enough to be fun but not so fast that I'm constantly clutching my pearls as they learn.
