CURT 23518 Black Trailer Hitch Lock, 5/8-Inch Pin Diameter, Fits 2-Inch Receiver

Purchased this as a replacement for the chrome pin on a new VW Amarok. Secure, unnoticable and no doubt just as strong as the original for just north of £20. Its finished in black all around and should last way beyond the life of the vehicle. Perfect.

I purchased this product to replace the stock silver pin/R clip design that came with my factory fitted receiver tow bar. I needed something with greater security, as I have a hitch lock for the trailer, but nothing to stop anyone from removing the tow ball from the bar. The added bonus is it's much neater and cleaner looking.

Works as intended but wish it would lock on without the key , as it’s a bit fiddly with key , bent down trying to put on and lock, if it snapped on and locked and use the key to unlock this would be perfect

Fits well .. a bit difficult to lock and unlock .. would of made life easier if both pieces click and the lock doesn’t rotate

Too short for My Prado. I had to grind the ends smaller to get the length.

Great fit and finish that blends in well with our tow hitches. No signs of rust or fading from being outside all the time. The rubber cap can go missing fairly easy if you're not careful. These types of locks aren't unbreakable, but it does help deter theft, because rather than removing a pin without any tools and taking your hitch, a thief would at least have to commit to breaking the pin. A step many wouldn't bother doing especially in a public space. Cheap, easy to use peace of mind.
