I planned a whole series of gifts around this for my daughter's 8th birthday. Camera, case, tripod (so she'd stop stealing mine haha), etc. She loves taking pictures and really likes this camera. However, this wasn't the camera she was quite ready for. So the company was more than accommodating and extremely kind about the situation, and found us a more suitable camera for her current skillset. This is actually the kindest most effortless company I've had the pleasure of dealing with from Amazon in the some 12+ years that I've been an Amazon prime member and customer!

Bought for my daughter for Christmas she loved it good quality my daughter takes pictures with it and videos sounds great. Battery is good.

Batteries only lasted one cgarge cycle. So either the batteries are bad or the charger does not work. Update: seller took care of the problem

As others have said, this is not 56 MP as stated, the pictures are NOT sharp or clear, very shoddy. It is also all plastic and the tab you have to pop up to get to the battery compartment is very hard to open and very flimsy, the SD Card is in the battery compartment so if you have to open it often, I see the tab breaking very quickly. he batteries do not last very long either. Honestly, I would not even buy it for a kid. Just a waste of money. All I was going to use it for was taking pictures of craft items I was selling on line, It would not even take simple clear pictures for that.... UPDATE, my opinion hasn't changed but the company did contact me and issued me a refund.

Now - I had low expectations, but (on the plus side) they were met. I got this little digital camera as a replacement for an earlier model (discontinued, same manufacturer) with a metal body. This one feels significantly cheaper, and I noticed that the batteries have about half the life as the previous one I had. I appreciate the customizability of the camera and all of the different filters. The sharpness of the photos was surprisingly decent too. On the other hand, if the camera ever ran out of battery or underwent a full charge, the time/date would reset on the photos, which was really annoying once the battery’s charging capacity started to run out (which was within two weeks or so) and I would have to go back and change the timestamp on the camera. There’s also a one or two second delay after pressing the button in which the photo is actually taken, which makes it difficult to get good action shots, and you have to keep the camera still the whole time. Overall, this would be a decent camera for kids or for messing around if you like the nostalgia of digital cameras…until the batteries crap out after a month. I captured some good memories with this digi - just wish it would stay functional for longer.

these cameras are amazing for the little ones!!! They are the best, you should get them for your kids!! It has only what's important, no extra features, so the kids can figure out all the buttons and use it themselves!! My kids went around snapping pictures of everyone as soon as they got it!!!!!1
