Update June: This feeder continues to outperform our other hummingbird feeder. We get regular visits to this feeder but much fewer to our other one. Unscientific conclusion: hummingbirds prefer this brightly colored feeder over the very nice white one. UPDATE May: Now about 6 weeks into the return of hummingbirds to our area happy to report several ruby throated hummingbirds visiting our feeder many times each day. Per the video we get clear picture and love to hear the buzz of their wings flapping. At first I was concerned about 20 second limit on video but reality is most visits only last 10-15 seconds so camera doesn’t miss anything. We have another hummingbird camera feeder by a different brand set up about 20 feet from this one. We get twice as many visits to this BBPECO than the other one. We think the bright colors of this glass one attracts the hummingbirds more than the other one which is white. Also wanted to mention battery. I have not set up the included solar panel yet and may not bother. The battery on this feeder lasts a long time. I have only had to recharge at an outlet only once in 6 weeks. Still no leaks, easy to clean and refill nectar. Stand by my initial comment that this is the best hummingbird camera feeder. I have purchased and returned several hummingbird camera feeders in the past. They would leak, be poorly designed/constructed and most often not connect to my internet due to very poor apps. I have now found my perfect hummingbird feeder. One that checks off all the boxes for me. Here are things about this feeder that make it the best for me: -Beautiful! The glass reservoir looks great in the sunlight and I am betting it is hand blown and therefore no two are alike. A work of art. Also the camera sits near the perch and is shaped like a bird. What a wonderful idea and attention to detail. The camera moves a bit so you can adjust the angle. Also the cover of the base is made of metal not plastic and is gracefully sculpted, clearly an artistic designer at work. Overall beautiful and nothing like it on the market. -Construction/Design- The glass reservoir is not only beautiful but heavyweight so not excessively fragile, you can handle it. The reservoir has a wide enough opening that makes filling with nectar easy, no need for a funnel. Onto the glass opening is a screw on cap with a white silicone “plug “ that holds the nectar in after filling. The plug has slits in the middle that when all is screwed into the base opens and allows nectar into the base for the hungry hummers to access. Compared to other feeders arrangement makes refilling and cleaning easy with minimal drops of nectar spilt. Once assembled there were no leaks. All materials used from thick plastic base to metal base cover to thick glass reservoir are high quality and fit perfectly together. There is even a sensor that sends message that nectar is low or needs replacing. Top marks for excellent design, engineering and quality materials. -The APP- I am not good with this but even I had this up and running in less than 10 minutes. Loading the app on phone, easy. Connecting to internet/wifi, easy. I was looking at pictures sent by camera to my phone in minutes. Made me think of one I returned that I spent hours on and never connected. Frankly I was shocked how easy it was and more shocked that even I could do it. I have feeder on my deck about 50 feet from my router and it is working great. -Presentation- All parts come neatly packed and are easy to assemble. It comes with 9 feeding port flowers, two hanging hooks with one being an ant moat and a cleaning brush. AND the one I ordered has a solar panel which I haven’t installed yet but will be a huge convenience. Though it only took me 3 hours to charge the camera via the included charging cord. You do need to have the adapter that fits into socket though. After months of trying other brands and returning them, I have now found my perfect feeder. I think manufacturer listened to customers and built a terrific product at a very competitive price. I highly recommend.

I am so disappointed. I purchased this for my mother in law to whom is bedridden, and cannot enjoy nature as she once did. She used to love sitting out watching the hummingbirds and thought this geift would be a perfect answer for her. we linkd it up to alexa, and she would quickly watch the live vdeo of the birds, wonder picture to by the way. Then the downfall happened. Yesterday July 3rd, 44 days after purchasing the unit. 42 days of up and running. It had this terrible death. Its death rattle I swear I could hear 15-20 feet away. This God awful nouse was coming from inside the unit. I cannot describe this noise but was an awful one. I was quite shocked as I was thnking what in the world could be coming from that part as no moving parts that I am aware of. So I amassuming it was coming from the internal speaker maybe. So i unplugged the unit. Decided to give it its weekly cleaning, and refill the unit. The unit camera would not connect. In fact the app said it was unavailable. So I decided to reset and reconnect the camera. But to no avail. In fact the unit would not reset. In fact it would not give any sound at all, no red light on unit, no voice telling you about pairing nothing, and app did not detect the unit to setup. There is no doubt this unit, died a horrible death. TThe worse part of this it devastated my mother-n-law. <oney does not grow on trees, and I would be so afaid to purchase another unit. I mean a little over a noht just out side of the return to Amazon window is really disappointing. I wish the raing system above, I had a choice to choose picking a star rating to an animated image so i could show a 5 star passing into the afterlife right after its short life. I am thinking I am just out a lot of money, and my mother-n-law will someday get over her short lived fun time. Oh and it is leaking as well. Somewhere around the electronics side too could be reason it failed. I noticed this after was up on deck when I tested and came back later to find drips emerging. ***Updated*** I have written a more detailed update review that should eventually post. The company reached out to me and we’re so kind in making this experience happen. They sent us a new feeder and wow it arrived quickly. To me it means a lot for a company to take time to personally respond to you and not only answer your concerns, but acknowledge that sometimes with any thing we buy that there always can be a few that will get past quality care inspection because so many things happen, including shipping. I was so impressed they replaced this unit. Went above and beyond. The new unit works perfectly now. I like to thank those that were kind and thoughtful to make this a cheerful one. We all must remember not all things can be perfect all the time. The best of the product is the company that stands behind their products and makes it right when on those rare occasions one gets damaged. I would buy from them again and without hesitation. Oh and remember you catch more flies with honey. Kindness attracts kindness. Again a beautiful video of the birds and does well for what it is.

I love absolutely everything about this feeder (camera, app notifications, glass feeder, wifi, etc) except it leaks. The product design needs enhanced so that there is a gasket added. Any wind or movement of any kind causes leaking as so the bees and ants attack. I have had to stop filling this feeder, use other feeders with proper gaskets and arrange the camera feeder so they can catch them filming on other feeders. Not what the product was designed for. Please fix.

Older bird camera finally stopped working after 6 years, so we upgraded to dedicated hummingbird one. Outstanding videos, rechargeable battery lasts several weeks. Even has an audible alarm to automatically scare off squirrels! Sounds like Star Trek red alert -- bonus!
