What Your Doctor Hasn't Told You
"Stop Hypothyroidism" is one of the most detailed books on hypothyroidism I've read to date. It talks about how iodine is essential for the production of T3, without which you will have a low metabolic rate and enlargement of the thyroid gland.Christine Weil doesn't spend much time talking about nodules however which would have been interesting. This book also explains the blood tests you should have. Part of the book briefly mentions arsenic? I don't know exactly what she is referring to (a naturopathic remedy?) but that particular part of the book is not really clear. This book also does not give information on how to actually cure hypothyroidism. It is more about the disease and talks about natural remedies. This book however fills in the blanks because most likely your doctor or nurse has not told you what is in this book. I have never been told anything besides how to take medication.~The Rebecca Review

Brief, Concise Primer on HypoThyroidism
Inexpensive primer or introduction to hypothyroidism. Simple and concise, the book addresses what is the condition and how it is conventionally treated. The author offers pro-healthy advise on how to live the condition such as what to eat and what to avoid along with a few recipes, types of exercises and other such recommendations. I shy away from assigning 5 stars because I was hoping to read more on how the condition affects other functions of the body that are not commonly addressed by conventional doctors or recommendations to organizations or readings that further inform the reader on the subject. A couple of recommendations may not sit well with some readers like taking power naps in the afternoon (what if you work full time, take care of children or parents?) and eating only organic foods (what if these resources are out of your reach?). But, for readers just learning about hypothyroid for the first time, or looking for a quick read on healthy strategies for living with it, this book accomplishes it well.

Introduction to hypothyroidy, not very valuable for remedy
Plus points: easy to read, good introduction to the difference in allopathic amd alternative approach of hypothyroidy.Minus points for too easy and ineffective remedial options. An important cause for low metabolism is dieting. Usually, hypothyroidy from this cause remains undetected by allopathic protocol. Recommendations in this book fall short, the advice to loose weight is counter productive. Even if you are suffering from Hashimoto's disease, a restricted diet may bite you in the butt. I strongly suggest to read more, before engaging in self-medication.

Great background info AND practical tips
Unfortunately, more and more people these days seem to be suffering from thyroid problems, myself included. Worse still, many people have an underactive thyroid without even realising it! Personally, I think it’s essential that we do everything we can to guard against this condition by adopting a healthier diet.Apart from the wealth of information in the introductory sections of this book, I was particularly interested to read the chapters on dietary changes. I was very surprised to learn that some foods which I had thought of as being “healthy”, are actually goitrogenic! Thank goodness I read this book and found out.

Book Stop Hypothyroidism
I wasn't very impressed with this book as I have read better on the subject. It went over areas that all of us who are hypothyroid would already know

brief and fast paced
This book is short and to the point about hypothyroidism. It has all relevant information about regaining your health back, however the treatment is lifelong. But you can live your life smoothly and normal.

Wealth of information
I've thought for a long time that I might have this condition, but my docs have always said my blood tests were "low, but not low enough to treat." This time, I'm going to take new tests, ask a ton of questions I now have from what I've learned in this book, and take a look at my T scores myself. This time, I'm going in educated.

if you are knew to thyroid problems it is good as an introduction
Very english and nothing those who are well researched in this topic won't know, if you are knew to thyroid problems it is good as an introduction, the information will definately not stop hypothyroidism, but it will treat it, if you are looking for a cure this book is not for you, if you are looking to keep healthy and treated well with your condition it will help, but there is a lot more out there, do the research, if you are that fed up with thyroxine etc you can find a cure, just study and keep trying, its not impossible, i had it for 20 years... I know..
