This works!
I bought this to treat a nasty rash which was irritated, sore and weepy (sorry!) It is expensive, which meant I was hesitant. Getting through to a gp is not happening so I thought I’d try these. I used with thin muslin cloths over the area. It dried out the area and calmed it pretty quickly. Yes, it was a £16 gamble but luckily paid off. Worth a try. Sometimes the old fashioned remedies are the best.

I am blessed with going through bad bouts of poison ivy... especially in the spring as I love to garden. This product helps in soothing the itchy sensation that I know all to well. There once was a product that could be purchased in the drug store along the same lines at this but it was discontinued and hence why I had to resort to buying on line. My advice... stay away from poison ivy but it you can't... buy this product.

When I got pregnant the first time, I also got eczema for the first time, probably because my immune system was suppressed. I only got eczema in my ear canal, so it was very itchy and irritating. It took 13 months of itching and going to several different doctors (all of whom told me it was swimmer's ear, when I hadn't been swimming in years), before someone finally saw it when I was at the doctor for an unrelated issue and cultured it. Bam! I had MRSA in my eczema ear, she prescribed very expensive ear drops, and I was cured. Shortly thereafter, I got pregnant a second time, and the eczema returned, this time in the other ear. I went to the doctors over and over about this again, they swabbed me and I had a secondary MRSA infection again (even if I resisted the urge to scratch during the day, I would dig at night, which would break the skin for the secondary infection). This time around, the expensive ear drops did nothing. The eczema returned midway through my pregnancy, and my youngest children just turned three to show how long I'd been dealing with this curse. I thought I was going to have to suffer with this pain for the rest of my life. I was searching around on Google, and I happened to find a link to a PubMed study that Burow's solution is effective against all kinds of external and internal ear infections, and even effective at breaking down the biofilm that MRSA creates. I found this product on Amazon, and decided to give it a shot. If it didn't work I was out $12, which is much less than I've paid in doctor visits over the years who never really did anything. I anticipated this product was going to sting when I first applied it, because my ear was extremely crusty and weeping, but it didn't at all. After the first use, when I was wiping the solution off the external part of my ear, I noticed the crusts had been debrided and come off. This was what usually happened when I debrided my ear with hydrogen peroxide prior, so I wasn't too hopeful yet. When I woke up the next morning and my ear wasn't newly crusted over, I was legitimately shocked and amazed. My ear was at the worst point it had been in for years prior to using the Domeboro, and the eczema had started migrating out of the ear canal and onto my external ear. I can't believe this did something that prescription ear drops could not. I have been using this product once a day for a week now, and the crusts that normally itch and drive me crazy have not come back since the initial application. I'm not waking myself up at night digging in my ears, and I don't have to deal with the constant bleeding and weeping. I honestly consider this product a godsend. I mixed half a packet in 4 ounces of water and I keep it in a sealed container in my kitchen and just shake it up before use. I put 1/4 teaspoon in my ear once every day or two, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before turning it out. I intend on continuing this regimen for two weeks, then hopefully my ear will clear up and my own immune system can take over and the eczema will be gone for good, at least until I get pregnant again haha.
