A strong and sturdy playset that's ideal for kids of around 3 - 5 years old...
The ‘Imaginext Wayne Manor Batcave’ is a large action figure playset that’s ideal for kids from 3 years old to around 8 years old.The first thing I should mention about the Batcave is its size. It’s a pretty big playset at 57cm high and 41cm wide (approximately). There’s quite a few different moving parts and bits for your kids to really have fun with. The main features are probably the Bat-Signal which lights up and the disc launcher, which fires small plastic discs from the front of the Batcave. There’s also a moveable hovering glider, a prison cell, and a secret waterfall entrance which only Batman can open. For a young child (say 5 years old or under) there’s plenty to do with the Batcave and enough features to occupy them with fun games for hours. For slightly older kids, the playset is perhaps a tad too babyish. That’s what we found. Yeah, there’s still plenty of fun to be had with it, however, it’s perhaps a little to simplistic for a child of say 7 or 8.The quality of the playset however is absolutely top notch. There are no weak or badly manufactured areas. Every aspect is slotted together perfectly and the overall build is tight and sturdy. In fact, it could definitely withstand plenty of rough kid games and numerous drops etc.All in all, for a younger child I would say this is a very good set to get them.

Pretty Good But.........
This is the first Imaginext toy we have seen and from first impressions, it is pretty impressive. It is expensive, but it appears to be well put together and made from quality materials. It has great playability and the cave has a number of features such as a lift and defences that are fun to use. The major issue I have with this toy is the price and what you actually get. At £61.99 (price at the time of review) it is not cheap for what is a piece of large pressed plastic. It comes with only one figure and if I am being honest it has limited playability as it is. You will need to buy more figures and maybe more sets to get something that really grabs your child's attention for a long period. This is not a bad toy, but for the money, I would prefer to buy something that will give hours of fun, rather than a few minutes of play, unless you buy additional bits.....which costs more money. So, this is a nice toy, but it has limited playability. It is not cheap and maybe if you are not into this brand, you can find a better toy to buy with the money. I am happy to Recommend it, but with caution, as you will need to buy additional figures to get the full potential from this item.

Fantastic play set for Batman fans as well as Imaginext fans. Plenty of interactive features.
Imaginext have been producing adventure playsets since 2002 and have since then been steadily increasing their range. Like Lego most children will have a few pieces lying around in their toy boxes. Each Imaginext set plays on a certain theme and this one goes with the 'Batman' theme. When I received this set I was instantly impressed with its large size of 57.1cm in height x 40cm in width x 15.2cm in depth. It is made from very sturdy and durable plastic and should last a decent length of time even when inevitably it gets treated with a bit of rough play. This Batcave is very interactive and helps tremendously with a child's imaginative play. This is a two storey playset with the following interactive elements...first you can turn the top power pad to raise and light the Bat signal, there is a hidden weapon launcher that can be found by pressing the button on the tower, the lower pad opens the secret waterfall entrance to the Batcave and there is even a jail (to lock the villains away in) as well as a Batcycle and a Batglider. This playset comes complete with a Batman figure and two AA batteries. My nephews youngest son (age five) has quite a few Imaginext playsets and figures (some of them from the Batman theme) and he was thrilled to be able to add this to his growing collection. Brilliant fun.

Wayne Manor definitely pleases, so many extras to discover
Tested out by my five-year-old grandson and his seven-year-old brother, this proved a great success. The waterfall cave entrance is impressive, it is opened when a figure such as Batman stands atop and turns the mechanism. The ariel flying arm clutches Batman or others in its grip and allows them to survey the area around the cave from above. The Bat signal shines out when activated, I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't make any noise but the bat-shaped light is fun.The prison for the bad guys, the command centre with a computer screen, the bridge to climb up and the disc launcher were all employed in an imaginative game. Luckily we already have other Batman figures to put with this, just Batman and his super motorbike come with this set.We already have the earlier Batcave so were able to combine the two well.
