Fits. Works. Holds a charge
I tried NOT to buy a chinese battery, but that's impossible. As it was, I looked for a battery with good reviews and not priced at $1.99. The fir and finish on this is as good as the OEM (HP) battery. It easily holds a charge for at least 4 hours, probably 6, though I haven't had the opportunity to test max life yet. Considering the OEM battery was worn out and held zero charge, this is a very nice replacement.

Easy to install, gave my laptop a second life
My laptop is over 3 years old and wouldn't stay charged for more than 15 mins without being plugged in, and even then I couldn't do much while it was charging without draining the battery. I ordered this as a last ditch effort and it made a hug difference. Don't expect more than a few hours of battery life but it's a major improvement and took me less than a minute to install. Great for the price, would recommend.

Just what I needed for my HP840G1
Original battery wouldn't recharge anymore and I could not complain as it lasted over 5 years. New battery and an SSD and maxing out the memory gave my machine a new lifespan.

Dead at 4 months.
I purchased this battery for my grand daughters school work laptop November 15, 2020. As of March 8, 2021 it will show as 100% charged in the evening, but will be completely dead the next morning. Now I am trying to get ahold of anyone. Add says "24 x 7 email support; 12-month hassle-free warranty. Fulfilled by Amazon." So far I have not been able to find an email address or other way to contact the seller or Amazon.I absolutely do not recommend this battery...

So far, so good. Easy to install for a novice like me, it took me longer to get the laptop back off than it did to pull old battery out and put new one in.

Just get a factory brand battery
Better off just getting a factory battery! These cheap batteries start off fine but then they don’t hold a charge good after a a few months!

Delivered quickly, easy installation and works perfectly
The battery was shipped quickly and was delivered on time. Installation was pretty simple and there are detailed instructions online for people that aren't tech savvy to do it themselves. It came with some charge on it but I charged it full overnight and the laptop is working brand new again. I'd definitely buy again if needed.
