Good projector
Perfect, size is good, setup is easy. You can still see it when there’s light, but not as good as when the light is off. The only thing is the system take so long to turn on, hope they update the firmware. Absolutely love it tho!

If you are hesitant
To me, a projector shouldn't cost more than this amount, and honestly, considering the price, I believe it is worth more than many projectors priced over $1,000. I use it almost every day as my room's TV, and it has never disappointed me. The only potential downside is during daylight hours when natural sunlight can diminish the brightness, making the image less vivid. However, in a room that is dimmed to half darkness, the picture quality remains quite satisfactory. In summary, if you're hesitating between purchasing a traditional TV or this projector, I would highly recommend choosing this projector

Great value for the money.
I like this item. I have not done exhaustive use of this yet. But so far so good. I has clear bright picture. And the sound is good but a bit hollow as long as it is near you. It took a few tries to connect it to my network. But I finally got it connected. The Bluetooth connectivity does not seem to be good at the moment as I tried to set it up with my Aqara hub and no joy yet. I haven't taken outside yet but will do when it gets cooler. I gave it five star because it does exactly what it is suppose to do and I am very happy with it.

Additional Items Necessary for Use
The mechanics of the projector are all well within the range of Good to Excellent. My rating stems from the product description that does not adequately portray the difficulty one might have if you attempt to use the product free of connecting via a network, or you have devices that are not Android based. BenQ makes a good product, mixing with Google is a mistake. Just be aware that making those connections will require a Google account, as well as downloading additional apps, and ensuring that additional cables are purchased (the product doesn't come with them) to use it in non-wifi areas .

Not a reliable option
Would not buy again for the money. Features are generally good (battery, crispness) but apparently a widespread issue, including with junior, that (mysteriously just after the return period) my device stopped auto connecting to WiFi, requiring manual reconnection every time you want to watch tv. It’s a shame because clearly a firmware bug or discreet hardware issue (WiFi antenna?) that just destroys the consumer value for an otherwise good product.

Decent
It's more of a toy than anything. Features are pretty decent but the nits are pretty low. Even in a dark room ina projector screen it's a bit unsatisfactory. On battery it will lower the max brightness, which is understandable but it causes the image to suffer a bit more of course. It's hardware isn't the fastest but it's definitely manageable. I'd only buy this if you absolutely need a portable projector and don't mind the tradeoffs + paying a small fortune for the niche capability.

Perfect. Only the ram is so bad it doesn't open 2 apps at once just 2g ram

Great picture, fast easy set up. Everything just works right out of the box. Screen mirroring no problem, vlc media player no problem, networking no problem. Keytone - fast and effective. Fine tuning - perfect. Image modes and a game mode - BONUS was able to stream a game to the projector and play on the phone at the same time, it will work with a bt game controller too. The stand is great and the ability to move image to the side is also a great differentiator from the competition which stands no chance. Also works great with sonos ultra bar.

The price-to-quality ratio is excellent. It’s not a premium projector, but the image quality is solid and the built-in speakers are much better than average. Most projectors sound terrible, but this one easily fills a small room. The fan is a bit noisier than I expected, though it doesn’t bother me much once the movie starts. Bonus points for the swivel base, which makes adjusting the image on the wall incredibly easy. Pros: - Compact size and modern design - Good image quality, even usable in daylight (though not under direct sunlight) - Surprisingly great sound; no need for external speakers - Reasonable price - Projector refocuses quickly when the base is rotated Cons: - Refocusing can be too fast and sometimes leaves the image slightly tilted or out of focus - Bluetooth Speaker Mode is buried deep in the menu and inconvenient to access; should’ve been a single button on the remote - Power adapter cable is a bit short - Doesn’t focus evenly if the projector isn’t aligned 90° to the wall (top tends to blur) - Menus feel slow and somewhat laggy Overall, the BenQ GV50 is a great all-around portable projector with solid sound, decent brightness, and a clever design. If BenQ improved the software responsiveness and made Bluetooth mode easier to access, it would be close to perfect for its price range.
