Large seems to be the right size for a 5'7" man who weighs 170 pounds.
Update: I took this wetsuit out for 18 dives last week in Roatan Honduras and it worked well. It was very easy to put on and take off and, for the most part, I didn't even think about it when I was diving. The only advice I would pass on is to make sure you have the Velcro tabs secured properly at the top of the zipper. There is a small tab to secure the zipper and then a larger tab to secure the neck. If those aren't secured properly you could feel the Velcro on the back of your neck while diving. This is easy to do and I was easily able to adjust while underwater. Once I had the tabs secured properly it was very comfortable and I went back to not noticing that I was wearing the suit.So right now this review is just based on how it fits brand new. I won't get it into the water until a few weeks from now so I may update this review later. I am 5'7" and weigh a stocky 170 pounds. My chest is a 41 or 42 and my waist is 32-ish. For all practical purposes this weight is carried in my chest/torso as I don't have a particularly big gut. I purchased the L size and it fits well. It's very snug but from the generic wetsuit sizing videos I found online that's the way it is supposed to fit. It's tight around my collar but not so much that I can't get a few fingers between the suit and my neck. The legs end just above the knees and there is no appreciable excess material at the small of my back nor under my arms when they are down. But it does fit very snugly and, I think, if you are new to wet suits that is something to get used to. I did not feel my movement was significantly diminished. To be clear, it's not like I'm wearing a t-shirt and shorts! There is some restriction but not enough, I think, to cause problems while diving.I put my BCD on and everything seemed to be tight and comfortable. If there is one nitpik it would be that the zipper cord is just a bit too short. Another six inches would have made it much easier to grab reaching around the back. As it is I can do it but I have to grab it with one hand and then transfer it to the other in order to get my shoulders in position to pull it up. Not terrible but the rentals I've used in the past all had longer zipper cords.Time will tell how well it holds up to use but I won't use this more than twice a year so I think it should be fine for a while.

Wonderful suit! Great quality and fit.
Overall: wonderful feel, great stitching, good seals on arms legs and neck, fairly good maneuverability for swimming without feeling restricting (if you have it positioned right on your body)Physique: I am 5’5” 125lbs skinny swimmer build. The male medium fit me perfectly. It closes up on the neck just fine, arms and legs are a good fit. The suit is designed to keep water from moving back and forth from your suit easily. So that it creates pockets of water in your suit that your body keeps warm, thus keeping you warmer. I love it! It is sleek, it is sexy, it fits my body in and out of the water perfectly. I get good looks when i go out to the water, which is a plus. Now, since i am so skinny i cannot stay in local pools, lakes or the ocean for very long, i get cold super fast, within 10 minutes i am blue in the lips. With the wetsuit, i have forgotten all about it. I can stay in the water now for as long as i want. The average water temperatures i get in are what people in normal swim suits feel freezing to ok water in (65-85 degrees).Ohh i almost forgot, this makes you ablittle more buoyant, without a suit i sink to the bottom of the deep pool easily for by breath excersises, with this i can no longer lay down on the bottom of the pool to relax for a minute or two. This suit make me float to the surface within a matter of 5-10 seconds when i try to stay under.Maintenance note: After swimming in a salt or chlorinated pool, make sure to RINSE the suit well otherwise the chemicals will start to deteriorate the suit. Let air dry. This is my first suit, I cannot think of having bought another suit since the price is perfect, quality is great (it still needs to be handled with care, i am not sure how much abuse can be put upon it before it tears and breaks seams, i dont want to put it to the test) it withstands normal use.All i can say is i have taken into the water on 3 different occasions for a couple of hours and so far, it have been a life saver.

Great quality, but too small
Great quality, but was too small. This company is great though! I have bought from them in the past. They make the most comfortable wetsuits. Each style could differ a bit in size though. They back their products and they are easy to get ahold of.

Great wetsuit for our Mexico trip!
My wife and I both ordered a 3mm shorty Seavenger wetsuit before our trip to Mexico and were quite pleased with how they performed over the 5 dives we did.Sizing seems good. I'm 6' @ 205 lbs. This should not be confused with the NFL version of 6' @ 205 lbs, but instead like a guy that has worked at a computer for the last 20 years. Anyway, the XXL fit great. I bought that size on the recommendation of the sizing chart. (remember it has to fit snug to work properly, but still has to zip and can't be choking you) Hopefully this comparison helps someone else with their sizing concerns. The built quality seems great for the price. The seams are all holding together, no loose stitching, and no abrasion spots have started from wearing a rough rental BCD.While this was the warm water of the Mexican Caribbean, I felt very comfortable in the water for the 50-60 minute dives. It is still 3mm so in hot weather you will be hot if you put it on or zip it up too soon, but a little water down the back and you're good to go.I'm always a little hesitant to order from a non-Prime shop, but this shipped quickly and with no additional problems.

Fits too small.
Fits very small. I also wear Hendrrson shorties and tried this one. Fits much smaller than a Henderson. Too small for me. Also took quite a while to arrive (compared to other amazon orders).
