This is a WOW!
This is a major piece of equipment, the real deal. Assembly was oddly easy. It took me2-3 times to get used to, no different than any new piece of exercise equipment. The trick is to just walk or run naturally and the machine reacts naturally. Once you use this you can't go back to a traditional treadmill. The real test however was each of my 4 Grandchildren (4, 5, 5, 6) got on and were able to use it instantly, it was amazing! A nice additional benefit...I have some severe nerve and balance issues and this type of machine is great for your balance. To the person above, they sell a water bottle holder for $39.99. I have been working out most of my life and have a huge home gym, I am a lot VERY VERY HAPPY with this machine!UPDATE: I enjoy this machine more the longer I use it. I used a $13,000 version at a spa this past week and the resistance adjustment was the only noticeable difference for 10,000 more. This is a spectacular piece of equiptment and a great value.

The unit is great, delivery was not
First let me say the treadmill is everything I hoped it would be. Solid, quiet, and perfect for me. The delivery was a nightmare. They sent a text 3 days early and said it was on the way and I needed to be home. Thankfully I can work from home if needed, but I question why they had me schedule the delivery if the date was not followed. When the truck arrived, my treadmill was knocked over onto a bunch of other people's boxes in the back of the truck. They had set it on end and not secured it, so it fell over. Because it is roughly 350 lbs. the only way they could pick it up was to stand on other boxes and push it up. Once inside the box had many OBVIOUS holes from getting mishandled, so they nicely pushed that side against a wall, took a picture of the only undamaged side, then left as fast as they could without having me sign anything. I took pictures of everything as they delivered just in case. Once they left, I opened and carefully inspected everything and the good news is Assault Fitness packages the treadmill to protect against shippers like this, so my treadmill was fine.

Worst customer service - no response for more than 2 weeks - buyer beware before purchasing
TLDR; I should have read the other reviews regarding bad customer service before purchasing. After more than 2 weeks of no response from customer service I decided I will have to return the item. On top of that they signed me up for marketing emails without my consent.Since I received the treadmill, it made a weird squeaky noise every time I used it. So I googled it and found a video from Assault Fitness that some noise is expected but should go away after 20 miles of usage. I used it for more than 50 miles and I feel the noise increased. I reached out to Assault on May 3rd 2023 describing the issue, after which I received a response asking for video evidence which I provided on May 6th 2023. Since then they went radio silent. I followed up 3 times but they didn't respond to me. Finally I emailed them asking for a response otherwise I'd have no option other than to return the item. I had to wait more than 2 weeks to get an update from them which is unreasonable in this day and age. I loved curved treadmills but I will have to return this as I don't want to deal with such terrible customer service should I need more help in the future. For the amount I paid, I'd rather buy it from another company with better customer services, even if I have to pay a bit more.

Okay but would go with Trueform if doing it over
Love the treadmill, but delivery had package destroyed. I had to “rig” part so let didn’t rub on cover. Customer service is great and extremely helpful. However nothing can be done except send it back and not worth as my “rig” worked. Just expected more for the price. Treadmill is great but for price, delivery and needing to rig a piece for it to work…if doing it over I would go with the Trueform, I was torn between the 2 but could not pass up the Assault sale during Amazon days. Lesson learned

I'm happy with the self-powered treadmill BUT...
I have been very curious about self-powered treadmills for quite a while. Happily(?) my old Precor treadmill died & it didn't make financial sense to repair it. I purchased the AssaultRunner Pro, "Portable". Let me first say that there's nothing portable about it. It weighs a ton. It comes in a humongous box--I needed to pay the delivery guys 100 bucks to carry it into my basement. Even without stairs to navigate it was quite a production to move it into my spare bedroom/pain cave. The assembly, however, was straightforward. In terms of the running experience, you'll get used to it after a short run or two. It does feel different from a powered treadmill, but not in a bad way. Just different. I like the curved shape & I believe it does help with a midfoot strike and overall comfort while running. My main focus is being able to do meaningful speedwork sessions, and mission accomplished for that. It'll go as fast as you want.My one and only disappointment, which cost the unit 1 star in my review, is that while it says it has Bluetooth/ANT+ connectivity (and it does), it does NOT connect to your Garmin watch (or any watch as far as I know), for example, to broadcast your speed. Some reviews I read online suggested that it would, but I can confirm (after chatting with folks from the company) that it does not. So I'm forced to use my NPE Runn device to broadcast speed information to my watch. Speaking of which, speed as measured by the Runn unit is quite a bit slower than the speed registered on the unit's rather basic display. I'm not sure what to make of the difference, but since the Runn device is literally scanning the speed of the belt itself I'm inclined to trust it over the unit's display. If someone understands this discrepancy, please let me know. All in all, I am happy with the purchase and I suspect the treadmill will be a loyal servant and last a very long time.
