Does it work
Did a test on an old piece of wood. It seems to really work. Remember it is a fire retardant not fire proof

Couldnโt be easier to apply
Couldnโt be easier to apply, covers a lot of area thoroughly. Havenโt tested its fire resistance however. Appreciate that the chemicals donโt seem particularly dangerous to work with.

This product was tested and found effective by my local fire department.
Used this as a seal coat on wall framing , sheetrock and wood trim. I made treated and untreated samples of the framing wood, sheetrock and painted wallpaper on sheetrock. They were tested by the local fire department. The untreated samples burned easily, but the treated pieces were difficult to burn.

Tested!
Flame tested and this product is great. Sprayed with HVLP gun on seat material and wool product. Will not burn even with constant fire by blowtorch.

Seems to be a good for what we need
We spray it on and let it dry. Flip them over rand spray the other side and let it dry. They are a little stiff when we are done but loosen up after a while. Don't know if it works, we haven't had a fire. I guess this is a good thing. The video that shows the testing of the product was impressive. We document the use of the product so it can be showen to the fire Marshall or life safety inspector.

Fire safety
I had to buy this to pass my life safety inspection We placed the master fire in all beams to ensure fire resistance. This product can be layered to increase fire rating. One coat does a 30 minute fire rating.

Not tested yet. The data and spec sheets indicate a good product. Time wil tell.
There are NO instruction on the can or included. This is the link to their web site, where documentation in actual english is available. Goint to use over boilers and solar installations.

Really thins paint when mixed
The instructions are to mix 1-to-1 with latex paint when used in this manner. This means you end up with two gallons of very thin paint which spreads almost like thin whitewash. I used a roller to apply two coats on some OSB interior walls after priming and before a final coat of regular interior latex. Due to its runniness, the paint/retardant mix is very messy to use. It also doesn't hide well -- remember that once mixed, the amount of pigment per volume has been halved. The mixture does dry quickly and adheres well to primed wood. The paint mix would would be easier to apply using a sprayer.

Excellent product
Thank you for this excellent product. It is very light and easy to apply, and the wood absorbed it completely without leaving any residue. The material was tested using the ignitability test according to BS EN ISO 11925-2:2020, and it performed very well.
