great for the price
I started my dahlias in these, served it purpose. They are really thin, so I don't exspect them to hold up more then a full season or two. But for the price I paid wasn't bad to get 20 pots for starting larger bulbs, tubers, or even larger growing veggie or fruit items you know you will tranfer to larger pots or in the ground.

Perfect size!
These pots are the perfect size for small groups of annuals that I rotate in and out of a huge iron tub in my front yard. I move the pots according to the seasons and the holidays. By planting into these pots, instead of into the ground, I can slip one container out and another in, in seconds. Last year I started with multi-color pansies, then went to red, white, and blue petunias, then switched to yellow pansies and bronze mums. This year, I am going to do the same in two additional half whiskey barrels. These pots are big enough to provide plenty of room for root growth, yet small enough to move easily, and they last for years.Update: it is almost 7 years since I bought my first order of these gallon pots, and I still have every single one. They have worked so well, slipping them in and out of the huge containers as the seasons changed every year, that I am going to order another set of them to use in more large pots this spring. I really enjoy keeping my flowers looking their best, and if one starts to fail, I can easily exchange it and bring it to a sheltered area for some r&r!

Nice generic nursery pots
Reading some of these reviews is a howl. These are basic, generic nursery pots. They are intended for plant transition or plant sales. If you want pretty pots, get something else. Great price. Holes. Plastic. What can go wrong?

Sturdy Plastic Nursery Pots
These were essentially what I expected, but work well. They are nice sturdy pots. I do not find them at all flimsy; the top rim is especially solid which makes them easy to move around. When I wanted to cut some of them down, it did take me quite a bit of work at times to put some holes in the sides to cut them to the height I wanted. They have multiple drainage holes at the bottom that are approximately 1 cm in diameter, which is nice as I dislike my plants sitting in water. Only bad thing is that when they first arrived, they were very much stuck together, and I have yet to get a couple of them apart.I am currently using them as temporary pots for my potted houseplants and succulents while I am in the process of moving, as I have my large pots in the moving van that is still coming across the country, and they are working very well.

This is a great deal for a totally average product
This is a great deal for a totally average product. These are about the same quality as the dollar store ones you'll find everywhere. Not the top of the line, but also not "paper thin" as some people are saying. I don't know why you'd be picking these up with one hand in the first place, so just be normal, use both hands, and it won't bend. Stop trying to get your work out from gardening with these things and you'll be fine lol.

Not exactly what I ordered, but otherwise...just fine.
The 1 gallon pots came today. Quite a bit different from the picture and description above. What I got was 20 Pro Cal, Pro Can #1 regular. The pots are 6 1/2 inch diameter at the top, 5 inch at the bottom, and 7 inches deep. There are 6 drain holes (not 5,) and all the holes are aligned around the edge of the bottom of the pot.Why 5 stars? Because I like what I got way better than what I thought I ordered. They fit containers better and the 7 inch depth gives me options to adjust soil depth. Also, they are very well made. No question that they will be re-used. If I knew that they would send me the same I'd order some 3 gallon. Accident or not, I'm happy.

Misleading Description - Shabby Construction
First, these one-gallon pots hold 2/3 of a gallon. I'm hoping BarefootFarmer also has 2-foot long yardsticks...Second, these are the most poorly made pots around. You can literally tear the plastic with your bare hands. I can also tell that when the weather starts to get warm the plastic is going to soften to the point that it disfigures. I don't mind using stakes to support my plants, but I shouldn't need them to support the pots. kayla peterson wrote a glowing review, but the pictures she attached look nothing like the "pots" that were delivered to me. I guess she got lucky. For about the same price you could get far more of this size (almost certainly of better quality), or you can get true gallon-sized pots for a couple dollars more. Seriously, these are probably bought for a dime a piece and sold for a dollar... not sure why the vendor is Barefoot. They should be wearing Jimmy Choo's and Louis Vuitton's.This vendor is selling bottom-of-the-line pots for everyday prices. Spend your money elsewhere...

Okay for the money, but not the greatest value out there.
I was a bit disappointed in these nursery pots. I don't know much about the production process for plastic items, but these had little bits of plastic hanging off the edges, loose in the bottom of the pots, spiraling off of the seams. In general, it appeared that they were made quickly and cheaply, with little concern for quality control. While they can likely be used for several seasons, they are a bit on the thin side and require two hands to lift a full pot without it collapsing under its own weight.I found that there are other 1-gallon pots available that are much higher quality for only a few dollars more.
