Very useful and a good protection from the impact of the ball. Without the sleeves the underhand passes used to leave my forearms bruised and sore and it's no longer happening since I started using the protective sleeves. I'm a mature social player with slim wrists and arms so these sleeves fit okay but they are junior size so won't necessary fit someone bigger. The arm does get sweaty underneath but not excessively (some perforation in the fabric could make it more breathable) but the protection gives me a lot of confidence when attempting to receive powerful serves or spikes so it's very important. The sleeves need some adjustment during the game/training as they might slip off slightly at the elbow or shift but the thumb holes keep them in position. I leave the right hand free sometimes for serves or play by rolling down the top part with the thumb hole and it still works well so I'm happy that I chose the version with the thumb hole. The seller is very quick to respond and happy to maintain contact until order is completed. A good buy and would definitely recommend for any female players to avoid bruising and boost confidence.
