Took 24hrs to tinker and fine tune the adjustments. Will pickup motion 20yds and then reset. I have the reset going at 1-minute. With this control I am using a GREEN STROBE light. Motion triggers the electrical plug and I have a 110v traffic strobe plugged into that. A SILENT but immediate notification. Without the BEEP BEEP BEEP that most people hook up as SOUND. I went thru a dozen other sounding driveway monitors that anytime a person or vehicle sets off motion detector, the beep made my dogs go ballistic. However, I would suggest using the 3-dip switches "as they are" and "fine tune" AFTER you see this motion signal in use. Product shows turning lights on and off. I just use it as backup security for area covered.

Home Depot sells a GE unit that shuts off after 10 minutes, even if you are right in front of the sensor moving around. It comes back on in a few seconds, but it is annoying. This unit is far more intelligent. As long as it detects motion, the light stays on continuously and only shuts off after 10 minutes of no motion. If you already have another light on in the room, the unit won't turn on. But if the sensor light is on first and then you turn on another light, it will continue to keep its light on as long as it detects motion. This makes it great to use for controlling the lights over the kitchen sink. When I walk in the kitchen, I have instant light. It stays on as long as I'm in the kitchen. I can turn on additional lights to work without affecting this light. This is exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this unit.

Works perfectly right out of the box. Easy to pair the sensor with the wall plug controller. The only issue is not being able to control the duration of time after the motion detector is tripped. I've seen others with a time setting on the wall plug controller. But, the Souphran works great for what we needed it for. We have installed right next to our cat litter box so it sets off an exhaust fan. Very easy to install, and a lot of fun to set off. A must-have DIY product.

These work really well, I'm overall impressed. It could use some improvements... You need to remove the cover to adjust the delay, the sensitivity, etc. That can make it a little tricky to put back exactly where it was, depending on how you have it set. But there is still lots of good features in these. I do very much like the magnetic base with gymbal adjustability. That makes it easy to mount and aim it pretty much anywhere you need it. The 2-head set comes with a couple self-adhesive metal circles that you can stick on a well-prepared surface (cleaned first, and then wiped with alcohol!) so it can go wherever you need it. The socket module you plug into the outlet is of reasonable size, it doesn't hog the outlet space like some of the other AC-remote control setups do available on this site. The AA battery capacity means you can use your own rechargeable batteries, and my first set of NiMH AAs in put in this are still going strong after 2 months of high-traffic use. You can set it up the two heads so that both can control one socket, while one of the sensors can control a second socket. Can be a neat solution to some mixed traffic-intersection and multi-circuit challenges, e.g. great for zone lighting! Def will buy again as needs arise.

Clamshell will not go back together. Very hard to read the dials for setup. Dials should be accessible from rear, since once you open it will not shut properly. It works, but if it comes apart and crashes to floor after mounted does it really work. I like that it uses AA batteries. but all feature should behind a smaller cover, not have to take completely apart and not go back together. Rechargeable batteries are worse as they are slightly larger, then they shell hits them and will not shut at all. Slimmer AA work, but shell clasps still too week to hold it together properly. I’m using Siri to write this please excuse any strange words. I have extremely low vision and find myself wandering around in the kitchen trying to find out where things are. I put this on the corner of the table, which is next to the refrigerator and now when I get close, it lights up and it gives me a point of reference. It’s simply excellent. It’s easy to install no strange things just slap the batteries in and go. I did the whole process in about five minutes without reading any directions and the light comes on it works very well. I’m very very glad to have it and will probably purchase more as my vision becomes worse. This motion detector works great. My light now goes on when my cat stands at the backdoor alerting me to his presence. Highly recommend

I bought two of these products. One is working and I’ve changed the batteries for it without any problems. The other, I changed the batteries and I cannot get it to pair. I cannot find my copy of the manual and I cannot find the link to the manual on the Amazon page. It is either very difficult to find. We’re not there at all. Suggest you put a link to the PDF directly in the answers to your questions.

Easy to set up and works great for a light used in my cold room that isn't hardwired

I was originally looking for a remote controlled plug in switch for lighting inside a seacan and I came across this. This is one of those items you didn't really think you needed until you try it, Why did I wait so long to find such a convenient and useful tool for awkward light switch locations in my garage and out buildings. Easily programmed following directions and very easy to mount, I am very impressed with the function of this motion switch. The only concern I have now is battery performance in the cold when winter sets in. I will update if there are any issues.

To change the time, distance, or light sensitivity settings, you need to remove it from the wall, unscrew the back cover, and adjust the tiny, very fragile and unclear markers on the main motherboard. It has a very poor design for areas where you frequently need to change settings. There are other designs on the market that you can easily adjust using external, visible markers. The markers also need a magnifier to see what needs changing.
