I have not heard of many cases where speakers like these play free-to-air. Most speakers are designed to use an enclosure to get the best sound quality. I have seen videos of unique "open space" panel speakers but they are rather unique. What are the mounting hole dimensions, i.e. Distance between holes on one side? I need to match a speaker with 3 13/16" inches between holes.

The measurement between holes is 3 1/8". The measurement from one hole across to the opposite hole is 4 1/4".

What's the lowest frequencies they can produce?

According to the specification sheet (which you can download from the manufacturer's website) this speaker can go down to 55 Hz. This can be manipulated somewhat by using a ported tube and adjusting the length.
