I went into this fully expecting it not to be for me. M/M isn’t usually my thing, and the hype had me skeptical. The beginning didn’t help, naming your member is… not my favorite choice. It was borderline cringe and almost took me out early. Then it clicked. Hard. - Once you get past the opening, the depth, care, and intention in this book become impossible to ignore. The emotional development, the pacing, the way the relationship is built - this one is on a completely different level. The detail and thought put into every aspect of the story honestly made the first four books feel weaker in comparison. The chemistry is intense, the vulnerability is earned, and the payoff is massive. Nothing feels rushed or thrown in for shock value. This is how you do dark romance with substance. Absolutely incredible. 10/10 stars. This is the standout of the series, no question.

It's everything to see how Niko adores is baby and would fight for him, and I'm not talking about a fists fight, I'm talking about putting effort in gaining someone. Nikolai is a very good character.
