Sundome Tent

I can’t say enough good things about this tent. Easy set up and take down. It’s amazing for hot weather, love all the mesh and the ability to sleep under the stars if you take the weather guard off. Spacious enough for a 80 inch long cot and gear.

This tent is pretty good size and can easily sleep 2-3 people comfortably. It’s so easy to set up and can be up and ready in less than 5 minutes. The quality is good. We have had it on about 3 camping trips already and it’s lasted through a couple rainy nights where we stayed dry through the night.

Great little tent. Easy to set up. Enough room for a floor/sleeping mat and to be able to place stuff on the side. I used this as a single person tent. The colors were nice. The tent bag has a tear away strip to make the bag larger. It came with enough tent pegs. And it was fairly simple to pack back up again. I had recently bought a different tent that was supposed to be a fully assembled easy-up, which didn't work. I bought this in the case if something went wrong with the tent poles, a quick modification would be possible....which wasn't the case with my other tent. Coleman is still making good products.

Update: My two kids and I used this tent for a Scout camp this past weekend. The first night was torrential rains and heavy winds for at least 6 hours. I sat awake wondering when the rain would start getting into the tent, waiting for my rain cover to blow off or for water to start accumulating. In the morning our tent was in one piece and completely dry inside. I didn't use a ground cover or tarp. Just the tent. We had not one drop of water in our tent. The other families that were in tents all had rain in their tents. One family had at least an inch of water. This tent was fantastic and I was so happy to wake up in a dry tent. Please note I did buy and use better tent stakes, I upgraded from the stakes that were included. I would highly recommend better tent stakes. But with better tent stakes I highly recommend this tent if you think you are going to be in rainy conditions. I researched a lot of tents prior to purchase. I needed something easy to set up on my own. I wanted a tent that could withstand heavy rain. I also wanted a tent that could comfortably sleep 4 (2 Kids 2 adults). This tent met all these requirements. I was able to set up almost the entire tent on my own and quickly. The tent itself was no problem but I’m only 5’2” so struggled with the rainfly but I was able to get it with help from my 7 year old. The size of this tent is perfect. I used it with just one queen air mattress and there was so much room. I was able to set up a little table (just a bin)and play mat inside the tent for my kids. On night 2 it downpoured and we were kept completely dry. I could easily stand up in the tent. But again I’m fairly short. This would be an excellent tent for warm weather camping. I would not use for cold weather. I live in Minnesota and took this tent camping this past weekend. I thought I’d be ok temp wise. The temperature both nights dropped to 36 degrees and due to all the ventilation the tent got pretty cold. However this was my error in using this tent in cold weather. The tent itself is great. Perfect for warm weather. I just would caution about using in colder temps. I look forward to using this spring and summer!

Great price for a great tent & got it next day w/$4.99 shipping made me camp-ready fir $70 by the following weekend. Bought seam-sealer as well, just in case, but as-is did a great job keeping out the wet & bugs in NW Missouri during 2017 solar eclipse weekend (light rain morning & afternoon 2/3 days). Definitely follow the recommendation to set up w/2 people. Extra set of hands during the raising part of setup avoids risk of forcing/damaging tent or possibly hurting yourself by off-balance leaning on muddy/uneven ground. When set up, pulled 4 corners taught and the front gray/tub surface beneath the door was wrinkled like maybe the base is not really square or maybe one of the extension poles is longer than the other and pulling oddly on that section of fabric from a higher angle, but tent worked beautifully regardless and I will be using it again in the near future. (Also hard to tell if ground was weird or just my tent has that quirk.) Breakdown was super easy for 1 person, even able to wipe off residual moisture and dirt/mud during fold-up & rolling. Tent & hardware tucked back in to carrying case with room to spare for odd accessories (small addit. tarp w/stakes & ties, seam-sealer bottle, and small flashlight for inside erected tent). Tons of room for 1 person in sleeping bag on twin-size air mattress, had space for all my gear and room for my 3 camping companions to sit inside w/me in event of rain (they had their own tents). Could stand but had to bend head so inside clearance probably 4'6"-5' high at center. Plenty of room for 2people to sleep plus gear. 3people sleeping plus gear would be pretty tight functionally. Would not recommend 4people unless gear kept in vehicle, separate tent, or you're all light campers and don't mind snuggling up together. The included, small exterior ground-tarp ("welcome mat") is basically useless for that purpose, better to place it in the corner nearest the door and remove footwear outside, then place muddy shoes atop mat so they can dry inside tent. At the end of the day, great product, have already recommended it via Amazon to friends & family. Coleman brand might incorporate a soft-sided 4-walled w/lid water resistant "shoebox" in right front corner of tent (nearest corner to door as you enter w/o fulling unzipping door). Have 2 access zippers, one on the outside (similar to power-plug access and more like upside-down window flap) above gray-bathtub base for placing shoes inside from exterior, one on inside lid for dry-air ventilation w/o contaminating majority area of tent w/whatever may be on shoes. Just a suggestion.

This is my third Coleman tent. All three of them are still in great condition. You really can’t beat Coleman for the quality. My first tent was a six man and I purchased it when my children were teens. My second tent was a three man that I purchased as my granddaughter‘s first tent. I purchased this tent because I decided to downsize and for one person this tent had plenty of room to spare. I also had my dog in his kennel in the tent. My second night camping we had a downpour! True to common quality I did not take on any water in the tent. As long as the tent is set up properly, you will be safe and dry.

Awesome tent. Would buy these again and again. Bought eight of these tents on Cyber Monday and got an amazing price on them. Use them for our scout troop. Love these tents. Have been using this brand and model from Coleman for over a decade now working with boy scouts. Have used these in three different scout troops, and they have always worked well. They are big enough for two boys and their gear, and we have used them on week long camp outs and they work great. They work great in all seasons, have even had boys stay in these when we were doing winter camping our tents were on top of four feet of snow. Like them so well that I have two of my own that we use as a family when we camp. They are quick to put up and easy to take down. One person can set up the three-person tent in about five minutes with practice. I really like the fact that they continue to manufacture the tents. If something breaks or is lost (this happens with Boy Scouts) you can order replacement parts or purchase the tents again. Also because they are not huge they are quick to take down and fold up. The large cabin tents can take 12-13 year old 30 or 40 minutes to get folded up. These can come down in less than 10 minutes. Good construction, and have held up to monthly camping trips for over a year with limited shown wear and tear.

Hi guys,if u like out door adventure,just blindly buy this 3 man tent.Im 6 footer and it is spacious for three like me.Got mine yesterday.Under 5k u will never get anywhere in India.It is only 25 us$ extra in india.I have been a hunter ,camper and back packer for the last 42 years.Although this is my fourth tent i still have my North Face 2man tent bought in Us in 1972.Believe me cole man is as good and cheaper.coleman sundome is very easy and quick to pitch and dismantle.Big windows for ventilation.Light weight ,roughly 3.7kg.comes with a sturdy carry bag ,floor mat and good quality telesscopic poles.Ideal for back packers and family of three.Remember to use seam sealant for rains or it will leak like any other tent during rains.Since out door adventure is catching up india,I suggest Amazon to sell seam sealants in india which retail for 3-4$ in U.S.Dont combine with repair kit.Should also introduce butane stoves,life vests,dinghies and fishing tackles.Above all exellent packaging and a brand new product.Thank u Amazon.
