AquaClear Impeller Assembly for 110 Power Filter

I had picked up a used tank that had some other aquarium stuff with it, one was the AquaClear50 filter, it worked, though only on high flow setting and was noisy because it only had 2 blades.I popped this one in and it pumps better (oblviously) but it is also much qiueter.

I had an aquaclear 110 for several years when a snail went inside and destroyed the peace and quiet and I had enjoyed before. I wasn't sure what had happened and I tried cleaning it, taking it apart and nothing seemed to work. I talked to my sister who had the same problem before and she told me that often just replacing the impeller shaft and the impeller(if needed) will fix the problem. Without a doubt I was willing to give this a shot.I ordered both and was glad a reviewer had mentioned using the pliers to remove the original impeller shaft as it was a bit tough to pull. Putting in the new one was also a little tricky because I didn't want to bend it. The first time I pushed it in, I didn't quite have it all the way so it made the same grinding sound. I took it apart and sure enough it needed to push in just a little further. After that it has been quiet just like new.

Used to experiment with. Wanted to trim off some material to reduce flow as I was converting a HOB filter into a refugium for my flat water tank. Worked perfect for my application

We have a 40 Gal Breeder tank and AquaClear 70 filter. We use the tank for breeding Neocardina shrimp. The water flow of the AquaClear 70 filter was too strong for our needs. We installed a AquaClear 50 impeller and the reduced water flow is exactly what we want. The 50 and 70 impellers are the same. The difference is the 50 size impeller has 4 blades and the 70 size impeller has 6 blades.

This impeller works for the 20 or 30 gallon hang on back filter from Aquaclear/Fluval. Replaced mine for slower flow in the larger canister and works perfectly

Aqua clear filters are the best hang on tank filters….I’ve had mine for years……a new impeller simply extends its life….no complaints

Fits and runs exactly as the original propeller in my 7 year old aquaclear 30g filter. Will buy again when needed.
