Long have I thought about ways to power the GH5 for hours at a time. I just outright dreaded the prospect of buying a HUGE V-Mount or Gold Mount battery source. This NECESSARY piece of kit kept my GH5 running for 6.5 from my test (ok I only used it to power the camera... and another to power my monitor. Yes I could've been smaller with a 12v cord but the added weight in a small GH5 package made it MUCH more stable handheld. with the IBIS but I still came out better than rigging with a Vmount. Besides I got about 8 of these batteries for LED lights. This is the perfect way to use them! Plus I can get 3 for the price of one Panasonic BLW19 battery! I was worried about voltage and other things. But I'm pretty confident that this is good after 48hrs use. A 6hr run and a 5.5hr run with these has convinced me. Next up.... big event then my short film. This came just in time. I hope in a future version this will have a USB out to charge phones.UPDATE: Just bought my second one (this time for my GH5S). They are totally worth the money. One nit pick though. This newer I've doesn't have the rubberized grip on the bottom line the first one I bought. But it works just fine.

Works out of the box with my gh5 (with 3rd party battery grip). So far no issues but I do wish it came with a cable to also power my monitor.Overall it's a good buy and the only trade off is caring the extra weight, but the added hours of battery power is worth it to me.

Strong material. Takes a long time to ship though.

I use it for weddings and it’s worked great so far! My gh5 will last for 10hrs+ with a this and a big sony npf battery.
