I'm super happy to have discovered these on Amazon
I'm super happy to have discovered these on Amazon, and now rank them up there with duct tape and zip ties as some of the better devices to have around for multiple uses. I'm definitely not saying that they're perfect, but neither are duct tape and zip ties. What these do offer, however, are a range of uses in an item with GREAT STRENGTH and SUPER FLEXIBILITY. The fact that they link together so well and are flexible means that you can use them for dozens of jobs. This is a big part of why I like these cable ties so much. You get 5 in an order, which means they're about forty cents each. That is simply a great deal. I would happily pay 2x or 3x that amount for them, so I'm perfectly happy about the price. These are made of braided steel and connect with a simple screw closure. I have never had any trouble with cross threading or stripped threads. They simply connect easily. And note that you can close up just one of these into a loop or link several of them together into a longer chain. This ability to link several together is where the real potential of these is, in my opinion. Before having these, I found myself using zip ties to make large loop straps -- but the zip ties would break. These simply don't break, as they are about 1,000 times tougher than zip ties. I've used them for key chain, tool lanyards, to hold doors shut, and to lash climbing gear to my backpack. For climbers, I find these are great carabiner replacers for instances when you simply can't cram what you want to lash into the small loop of the 'biner. These can get as big as you want them to be. I also use them to hang tools, in some instances. Very strong fasteners and cables. I haven't broken one yet. If you take care of them, they'll last a long time. However, if you bend and crimp them a lot the cables will get janky. So they'll last as long as you take care of them. The only real negative, I think, is that the braided steel can get kinked with heavy use. This is rare, in my experience, but I should you want I mean by this in my video. I'd love it if these came in various lengths, but linking them up together pretty much accomplishes this. Overall, as you can probably tell, I'm very psyched to have found these cables. I seem to always have one on me or in the nearby vicinity. This product was NOT given to me as part of any promotion. I bought it after doing some comparison shopping and this review is entirely the result of my own opinions and use of the product.

not so hot
The small end fell off of three out of the fivr o ordered. Theyre neat but, probably not too safe to put keys on

Excellent!
The keyrings are very stable. The screw caps work great turn and still not go all by itself. So you can keep always sure keys and other things.

My keys are strung out on a wire...
I grew up around an aircraft mechanic's hanger and recognized the cable type immediately. It's used as linkage on the controls of small airplanes and is strong, light and rustproof. Not mission critical for keychains but a nice lightweight alternative to heavy key rings. If you only have a couple house keys, keyring weight is no biggie. I drag around nearly two dozen keys so being able to organize keys on lighter and fewer key ring holders means a significant reduction in weight and bulk. I ditched my heavy key rings and never looked back. As long as you tighten well, they won't unscrew and are secure. If you're paranoid and don't plan to remove keys, a dab of Locitite Red will ensure it will never unscrew.Since there are 5 cables in the package, I had a couple left over and found they make great safety wires for camera bags and instrument case straps. I've had a strap hook accidentally open on a bag full of photo gear and the works fell on the floor. Thread one of these through the D-ring and strap end and you have a perfect safety wire, insuring your goodies won't hit the deck when the claw hook gets bumped. The product I received appeared flawless and worked perfectly for its intended purpose. After 6 months of use I've had no problems with rust or failure. Great little gismo, ideal for both keychains and as a safety cable for straps, bags and other gear.

Not good for keys
It’s thick and easy to use but it’s not good for keys. It can easily untwist and your keys would be gone.

Nice keychains
These keychain/wires arrived quickly and were well packaged, but they kink quite easily in your pocket. Only had them for 2 days and there's a few bends in the wire...but hey they were inexpensive enough and I have another 4. Thanks BLUECELL

Stable and flexible
The key rings are strong and flexible at the same time. All connection points are well made and the thread of the closure is 'long enough' that the ring does not work out by itself. Also it can be smoothly fasten and unfasten.
